Chapter 4: First Showdown of the Rivalry [Part 2]

Last time on our adventure!

"Well it won't help you!!!" Damien shouted again causing Kaori to jump again. "Use Outrage!!!"

Damien's Charmander's eyes glowed red as he ran towards Shuppet.

"Again! Sucker Punch!" Kaori commanded.

Shuppet used Sucker Punch again and hit Damien's Charmander in the stomach, but he then slashed Shuppet sending her flying into a wall.

"Shuppet!!!" Kaori shouted as she ran up to Shuppet.

Shuppet had swirls in her eyes. Kaori held Shuppet in her arms. Shuppet looked at Kaori and looked away in shame.

"No need to be ashamed Shuppet, you did your best, and that is what matters!" Kaori reassured Shuppet.

Shuppet then smiled as she was returned to her Poke Ball. Kaori then walked back to Charmander's side.

"You ready Charmander?" Kaori asked.

"Char! Mander!" Charmander replied.

"Alright then..." Kaori said. "Charmander, I choose you!"

Charmander jumped onto the battlefield and glared at Damien's Charmander as Kaori glared at Damien.

Opening

"Charmander! Let's do this!" Kaori shouted, determined.

"Char!" Charmander cried.

"Let's get this over with Charmander." Damien said, annoyed that the battle was taking this long. Damien's Charmander nodded and growled.

"Alright! Charmander, Dragon Claw!" Kaori shouted before Kaori's Charmander's claws glowed green as she ran towards Damien's Charmander.

"Shadow Claw!" Damien commanded before Damien's Charmander's claws glowed a dark purple before colliding with the Dragon Claw.

"Ember!" Kaori shouted as Kaori's Charmander shot flames out of her mouth, sending Damien's Charizard back.

"Bite." Damien commanded. Damien's Charmander then ran towards Kaori's Charmander and got ready to bite her.

"Smokescreen!" Kaori shouted. Kaori's Charmander's tail started producing tons of smoke, clouding up the battlefield.

"Don't give up." Damien said before his Charmander bit Kaori's Charmander, causing the smoke to disappear.

"Charmander!!!" Kaori shouted. "Mega Punch!!" Kaori's Charmander's fists became surrounded by a yellow energy and she punched Damien's Charmander off of her.

"Outrage!!" Damien commanded before his Charmander's eyes glowed red before he ran towards Kaori's Charmander.

"Mega Punch!" Kaori shouted before her Charmander tried punching Damien's Charmander again. However Damien's Charmander dodged before he started to ruthlessly beat Kaori's Charmander up, which reminded Kaori of...someone.

"Pathetic." Damien scoffed.

"CHARMANDER!!!" Kaori shouted before her Charmander used Mega Punch to get Damien's Charmander off of her, but he started running towards her again.

Kaori noticed her Charmander's tail burning brighter than usual.

"Blaze..." Kaori said in awe before shaking her head. "Charmander, finish this! Ember!!"

Damien's Charmander was about to hit Kaori's Charmander before she used Ember and created an explosion. Kaori shielded herself from the aftermath.

When the smoke cleared, both Charmander's were lying on the ground, knocked out. Kaori ran up to hers.

"What the fuck?" Damien asked, pissed off before returning his Charmander.

Kaori picked up her Charmander "You did great Charmander." Kaori complimented before her Charmander gave a weak smile. Kaori then returned her.

"I refuse to lose..." Damien growled. "To a female..."

Damien then stormed up to Kaori, which caused her to back up into a wall.

"YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!" Damien shouted before Kaori got up and started running. "That scared her off...nice and easy." Damien started laughing.

Kaori ran behind a tree and started crying.

'And she said not all men are like him...' Kaori thought to herself. 'I don't want to be like him...I don't miss him for a reason...hopefully he's in jail for murdering her...'

Kaori pulled out a picture of her and a woman. However, it wasn't her mother. At least...not anymore.

"Mom..." Kaori said to herself. "I promise...I'll make you proud..."

(Alright! I'm starting to get into darker topics so...brace yourselves. Anyways, next chapter, Kaori will face her first gym leader! Hope you guys are excited! Anyways, that's it for now. See ya!)
