Many societies, cultures, and communities have a history of labeling women (and especially young girls) as expendable. It's a twisted idea rooted in patriarchal ideals and it needs to be annihilated. The sexism seen around the world is so strong it is almost tangible. These misogynist ideals have deep roots, but the systems created to hold women back are malfunctioning. More and more women are standing up. More and more women are showing their resilience. The current, working feminist movement is really making good use of the Katniss Everdeen quote, "If we burn, you burn with us!"
