Chapter 9: Liking her?

"I'm bored..." I groaned. I shifted to the left and saw my phone lying on the side bed table.

I have to urge to call to Astrid for some reason and chat about the date with me and Monica...

Gosh for some reason it felt wrong.

I think I'll call her instead.

So I grabbed my phone and opened it's screen revealing a wallpaper of me and Monica (tbh, I hate doing this part)

I took a picture of with her at the day I asked her to the date.

Her wavy brown hair flowed down up to her stomach and her smile is bright that makes her lipstick be a bit visible.

Beside her is me with my arm extended for me to show both us.

Monica looks pretty but for some reason she isn't that prettier than Astrid.

Speaking of Astrid, I dialed her number and it start ringing and I placed the phone near my ear.

After a few rings, she finally answered.

"Hello?"

"H-Hey A-Astrid" I stuttered. This is weird, I've never ever stuttered.

"Hiccup? What is it?"

"Um I was just calling cause..." Great now my tongue is tied.

"Because?"

I bit my bottom lip and think what should I say.

This is my first time getting nervous talking to a girl. Among all girls, she's the only one who made me speechless, not even Monica.

I ended up blurting what I could say.

"Canwemeetlaterinthenearbycafe"

I spoke so fast I bet she couldn't understand one bit. I waited for a response and it took a few seconds to speak.

"What?"

I took a deep breath and slowly repeated the words

"Can we meet later in the nearby cafe?"

No response

Okay I swear she's speechless

"Uh s-sure"

I wide grin crossed my face and I felt very very happy about it.

"Thanks Astrid, see ya then!"

I hung up and throw the phone on my bed and I collapsed (or fell) as well.

I feel blood creeping up my face and my heart beats abnormally.

I ended up thinking about Astrid and I snapped back to reality.

Knowing what I did I realized...

Do I like her?
