Birds of a Feather

Chapter 18

Both packs are standing near the common area now. Couches and tables have been moved around and a large pile of blankets has been moved into a corner. BTS and GOT7 members were all stationed in hallways looking into the room where JB and Cas were standing off against each other.

"I can't believe we're finally going to get to watch him go full alpha!" Jackson murmurs to the others standing with him.

Mark glances at Youngjae seeing his tense shoulders and quickly wraps an arm around him, trying to offer support. He knows their omega can get sensitive about the incompatibility issues.

JB smirks at Cas, "You ready little omega."

Cas cracks her neck and moves into a wider stance, "Absolutely. I'm so fucking excited for this."

There're gasps from the BTS members and Yoongi is quick to cover Jin's mouth before he can complain about the language. JB's gaze moves to their group and stares them down, "Remember, you're not to interfere. No one's getting hurt and we've both consented to this. It's what her inner omega wants before her heat."

"And it's what you should have already been providing." BamBam mutters next to them with his arms crossed, glaring at the BTS members.

Jin, already irritated by what's happening and Yoongi covering his mouth, turns and hisses, "How were we supposed to know she would want to literally fight one of us?"

Jackson and Yugyeom move to stand on either side of BamBam, not amused by Jin's hostility towards one of their pack members. "I don't know, maybe you should've asked her and treated her like a fucking adult. That's a fully grown woman in their Kim Seokjin, not a child. You treating her like being an Omega makes her less than it's abhorrent." BamBam hisses right back.

"We are not treating her like she is less than!" Hoseok argues from next to Jin.

Jackson growls at him, "You are. If you actually saw Cas as a person you would have been communicating with her the entire time. If Yoongi had ended up being an omega, would you have made heat plans without him present?"

"Well that's dif..." Tae starts speaking.

Jackson's gaze turns to him and he hisses, "So help me if you say that's different I'm going to rearrange that face."

Jinyoung steps up between the two feuding groups, arms extending out and saying calmly, "Everyone needs to stop, we are not here for this right now. We are here to help Cas's omega calm down, and then hopefully discuss a heat plan that will work for her."

Jin growls at Jinyoung, but quickly chokes as he's slammed backwards into a wall. JB has his arm braced across Jin's throat, teeth flashing as he growls, "What you're not going to do is take out your own feelings of inadequacy on my pack. We are here trying to help you and keep your pack from losing everything. You will at least be cordial with my members or so help me I will call pack services down here to rehome Cas with us tonight. Hell, I'm half tempted to pull Jungkook, Yoongi, and Namjoon from your "care" too. Let's see your group survive that kind of media fall out."

Jin continues to choke and JB lessens the pressure on his neck only slightly, growling lower, "Am I making myself clear now?" Jin nods and JB releases him before moving back to the center of the room.

Cas is swapping her weight from foot to foot, glancing backwards towards her pack and then back to JB. Her shoulders are hunched down and she mutters to the alpha, "I'm sorry."

JB waves her off, getting back into a crouch, "Nothing to it little omega. No reason for you to feel bad. Besides. You have to live up to all the earlier smack talk of knocking me on my ass, now don't you."

JB sends some of his playful pheromones towards Cas, which have her perking up quickly. Her movements getting more energized with each breath and her eyes widening. She starts smiling, getting into her own lowered stance and JB smirks. His canines start flashing and an overall edge of feralness seems to surround him.

"Ready?" He asks in an almost guttural voice. Cas nods, "Good. Let's play omega."

Cas shivers, but quickly jumps out of the way as JB launches himself at her. They start a game of cat and mouse, JB launching himself around the room with Cas moving just slightly quicker to stay out of his grasp. She starts giggling and he's adding in playful growls every couple minutes to keep her instincts going.

The roughly 20 minutes of jumping around the common area comes to an end when JB manages to grab on to one of her arms, yanking her harshly down to the floor. Most of the BTS members move as if to intervene, but are held back by the rest of Got7. Cas purrs at first contact and then starts wrestling with JB on the floor.

"She's purring, idiots. This is what she wanted. Those two talked it out extensively before we came out here. She has an out if it gets too much and knows to use it." Youngjae whisper yells at them.

Cas actually has JB pinned to the ground now, hands holding his shoulders down as she starts goading, "What? You thought this would be easy? I was almost a division one athlete in school. You think I gave up on physical training just because I moved to Korea. Come on Jaebum, you can do better than this." She laugh gleefully, her voice dropping a little lower as she purrs, "Give it to me Alpha."

JB rolls his eyes, "Always were a bit of a brat." He huffs and chuckles as he flips them over hard, pinning her underneath him and staying there as she starts to growl and claw against him.

He actually starts holding her down with one hand and yawns for a minute, before leaning in and whispering in his ear, "Don't forget Cas, unlike your interactions with others, I'm an actual pack alpha. I can and will put you in your place."

Cas growls at him and he laughs, giving a lower growl in return. They continue to struggle like this for another few minutes, before Cas finally submits. She bares her neck and purrs as JB starts scenting her. He ignores the growls coming from the pack behind him, instead taking his time and even nipping at areas of her neck.

When she becomes fully limp underneath him, he picks her up and moves to the giant pile of blankets in the corner. Holding her against him, he sits down in the middle, pulling blankets around them as she continues to purr. When finally settled he motions for the others to join them.

Everyone walks over slowly, all of the alphas in BTS sending him resentful glares, but the betas look a mix of thankful and wishful. The members of GOT7 circle the nest, placing themselves in good defensive positions for their pack alpha. Youngjae is passed off from Mark to JB and joins the other two inside the blanket pile. Cas quickly grabs his hand, smiling at him, while JB presses a kiss to the top of his head.

"So," JB says when everyone is settled, "let's work through a plan on how the rest of this heat should go."
