Chapter 31

Author Note: I had a breakdown today. Went to submit my last homework assignment, unwillingly learned the permanent delete from computer command for the coding program I was using. Will be submitting my assignment late and hoping my professor is nice enough to restore the files I deleted that the school provided.

Anyways, wrote this chapter during the breakdown. Hope you enjoy.

Cas was standing in front of a door, hands wringing as she stared down at her outfit again. She looks up at Daesung uncertainly as Seunghyun knocks on the door. The beta gives her a quick hug from the side, "You look fine Cas, I promise."

They'd dressed her in a simple pair of leggings and a sweater. When she had complained about not being dressed up enough for a first date, the two Big Bang betas had reassured her that this was exactly what Shinee had told them she should wear. They wanted her comfortable.

The door opens in front of them and Seunghyun exchanges pleasantries with one of them as Jiyoung hands another the bag that had been packed for Cas. She remains curled into Daesung's side, still unsure about things, startling when a hand reaches out towards her. She glances up at the owner to find Jinki smiling at her, "Hello Cas," he says in a low soft voice, "Welcome to our den. Do you want to come meet the rest of the pack?"

She glances at Seunghyun, still nervous about this. Her brain frustrated that the excitement she had earlier has faded into anxiety. Seunghyun smiles at her, "You're going to be fine, Cas. There's a reason we insisted Shinee be your first courting date. They'll take really good care of you, I promise." He reaches out, wrapping a bracelet around her wrist, "And if anything happens you press that button and we'll come running okay." Cas nods, reaching towards Seunghyun and hugging him tightly before hesitantly taking Jinki's hand.

The pack alpha smiles at her, wrapping her closer to his side as they walk into the den. He moves her towards a couch, sitting down across from the other three pack members. An arm is thrown around Cas's shoulders and he smiles at the omega, "Why don't I introduce you to the everyone?"

"Oh! No, need. I know all of your names and designations already."

He chuckles and smiles at her, "Humor me, little one. We're supposed to be showing you want a typical courting first date should run like."

Cas's eyes widen as she looks between the four men, "Oh, okay."

He nods his head, "Well there's Kibum, he's our pack beta. Minho he's an alpha, and Taemin, who's another alpha."

Cas bows her head to each of them, smiling, "It's nice to meet you." The tension she'd been feeling bleeding out of her shoulders, causing her to lean closer in to Jinki, basically curling up against his side.

They all smile at her. Kibum leans forward, "We have our courting gift for you and then we want to have a quick conversation about things."

Cas fidgets a minute, "Is it a... bad conversation?" Shoulders rising again as the anxiety starts coming back.

Minho shakes his head, "No. Big Bang told us a bit about your current situation with BTS. We just want to have a discussion about future plans you may have."

Cas nods slowly, not fully understanding, but trusting them because Seunghyun said she could. Her shoulders relax back down to their normal position, the mix of scents she's breathing in lowering her stress level with each lung full. Taemin reaches across the gap, handing her a folder, "Your gift." He says with a wide smile.

Cas takes the folder with slightly shaky hands, pulling it into her lap. She pulls the top flap open slowly, eyes scanning the contents. Her mouth falls open as she looks up and stares at the four of them. Each have a wide smile on their face as they watch her look back down at the contents of the folder, "How...?"
