Billy
I ended up moving my mattress into Charlotte's room. I always want to keep an eye on her, just in case she wakes up again. If she does, I'll make sure she eats and drinks something, plus redo some of her bandages. Some are soaked in blood, but I'm too afraid to touch her. I don't want to hurt her again.
The past couple of nights, I've been reading to her. My dad left a couple of books here over the years, and I guess he never returned to retrieve them. They're boring, mostly law books, but I read them anyway. I read them out loud right next to her. I hope she can hear me, so she knows I'm still here. That I haven't given up on her.
I'll never give up on her.
