Dear, Jeremy

Chapter 6

Arghh!!! Where the hell is he?

If this is some kind of prank, I swear to god that Jeremy will have his days wasted in the hospital.

I was at the entrance of the restaurant waiting for him since last 15 minutes.

"Hey" A familiar voice ran through my ears.
I turned around to look at the owner of the voice.

There he was. Standing with his signature smirk plastered on his face.

"Somebody needs to learn the meaning of being punctual" I deadpanned.

"Look I am sorry. Actually I was searching something in a nearby area." He said with a slight amount of guilt.

"Searching for what? Eiffel Tower!?" I said in a mocking manner.

He chuckled slightly but then he suddenly exclaimed

"I was searching for this restaurant which you suggested. I didn't know the location so.."

"Oh I am sorry. I should have guided you." I said in a knowingly manner.
I should've known that he's new over here.

"Anyways, Shall we? I am starving." He calmly said.

"Yeah sure." I said with a small smile.

"After you, ma'am" He said in a noble way which earned a small laugh from me.

We soon got seated at one of the tables near the window.

The restaurant was almost packed.

The waiteress soon greeted us and handed us our menus.

"Which cuisine do you like, Jeremy?" I asked.

" There's nothing specific. I love to taste different kinds of food." He said with a small smile.

"Oh okay." I said almost inaudibly.
I turned to give my order to the waitress and I saw her drooling at Jeremy.

I faked coughed to which she slightly jumped in shock.

"I would like to have orange chicken, please " I said calmly.

"Yes. And you, sir? " She said in a flirting manner.

" I would like to have Barbeque chicken." Jeremy said in a what-are-you-upto-lady manner.

She soon left saying that she'll be back with our orders soon.

"So how's the place you are staying ?"
I questioned.

"It's house is huge and beautiful. And the people are great.
But there's this girl who is studying in our college, the same course as mine."

"Oh" I got a bit irritated to here that there is a girl of our age with whom Jeremy is staying.

But how does it matter to me? My inner mind told me.

" I guess she is a girl with arrogant attitude or the one with I-don't-meet-people-they-meet-me type of attitude." Jeremy interrupted my thoughts.

" I guess you are just over thinking. I mean I too haven't met the guy who is at my place. " I said whilst composing myself.

" Silly coincidence" He murmured.

Our orders soon arrived.

The waitress was continuously staring Jeremy. It was a little awkward for me to see a lady seeing him in a flirty manner.

"GOD" I said to myself.

The rest of the evening went smoothly.
I laughed my heart out. Jeremy would'nt stop telling me his funny stories.

I really enjoyed his company.
I was looking forward to meet that girl who Jeremy was staying with.

"So I'll take a cab. I know my way home now." He exclaimed.

"I'll drop you." I said.

"No that's fine. Come I'll drop you to the way your car is." He said with a small smile.

"Are you sure? I mean I can drop you its not a problem. " I told him with an assuring tone.

"No seriously.  I should deal with this new place myself. Next time maybe? " He finished with a wink.

I didn't force him after that but replied with a smile.

"Good night, take care, Shanaya" He said with a smile.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard my name from his mouth.

"Night" I said with a sweet smile.

He turned back and left. I was gazing at his retreating figure.

Sexy, isn't he? My inner voice exclaimed

What? Shanaya, don't play fool. He isn't your type.
He is from another country.

With that I sat in my car and asked my driver to leave me home.

The whole ride I was thinking of him.
Each time I imagined him smiling my poor heart skipped a beat.
