Chp.1

When Karin was 4...

"Stop it Harold she's coming with me" Karin hears her mother yell and she cuddles up in her blanket trying to sleep

"No she's not your not financially stable Janet" her father yells back

"I don't care she's mine and your not mentally stable so I'm taking my daughter and leaving"

They go back and forth making Karin cry until it suddenly stops and Karin hears footsteps. She fakes asleep and the door opens.

"Ky baby I know your not asleep" Karin mother says

Karin sits up and her mother picks her up.

"Mommy why you crying"

"Don't worry about me baby ok mommy's fine but mommy has to leave"

"Why mommy" Karin says as tears flow down her cheeks

"Hey don't cry it's going to be ok I'll see you every other week" her mother says fighting her tears

What Karin doesn't know is that her parents are in a custody battle over her. The court is leaning more towards the father because he has a job and is more successful than Janet meaning he will be able to take care of her better than her own mother.

"I love you Karin" her mother says kissing her cheek and laying her down

"Now go to bed Rinn" she says and Karin nods closing her eyes

Few weeks later

"No Karin" her father yells at her scaring her as she poured her own juice making her spill it

"Look now you spilled it"

"I sorry I just wanted some wuice daddy" she says sniffling

"But you didn't ask you have to ask first" he says

"I did and you pushed me away"

"That doesn't mean yes Karin here just take this water and go to your room" her father says roughly handing her a water and pushing her

"I want mommy" Karin mumbles and her dad hears her making him pop her

"Don't say that do you understand" her father yells and she nods crying then runs to her room

Next Week

"So Karin how has living with your father been" her mother asks

"I wanna stay with you mommy" she says

"Ik baby mommy trying all she can but we'll try to make the best of things"

"No mommy daddy mean he leave me home alone I have to make noddles"

"Oh ok I'll have a talk with him about that" her mother says

"Ok mommy where we going" she asks

"We're going to see a friend of mines ok" her mother says and nods smiling

"Hi Patty" Janet says as she steps on the porch of her good friend

"Say Hi Rinn" Janet says nudging Karin

"Hi I'm Karin" she says

"Hi baby you are so cute"

"Thank you where's your bathroom" she asks

"Upstairs the first door you see" Patty says

"Ok thank you" Karin says going in the house

Karin goes up the stairs going into the bathroom. She does her business and washes her hands. Karin goes back outside and sits on the porch with her mother and her friend.
