Chapter 6

I groan waking up.

"Oh you're awake!" Abby says. I don't respond.

"Don't ignore us." Lucy states. I respond w/ a groan. "Really? Come on now." She says shaking me a bit. I whimper. She immediately stops. I hear feet shuffle then nothing. A couple minutes later I hear the door opening.

"Hey there. I'm doctor Evergreen. I'm just gonna give you a small check up ok?" She asks. I flip her off. "I'll take that as a no. Can you tell me why?" I flip her off again. She sighs. "Ok then I'm gonna leave." I give a thumbs up then I hear steps then nothing again.

"Ok why won't you let the doctor look at you?" Abby asks rubbing my back. I move away and swat her hand. I also let out a groan.

"Come on now you have to talk to us." Lucy says. I cover my ears. I can feel myself start to shake. "Hey now you're okay." I hear Lucy say. Though it's muffled. I feel a hand on my side and whimper. The hand is quickly removed. I hear the door open again.

"Please give some space. Now listen April I know you don't want me to but I'm gonna have to examine you." Doctor Evergreen says. I flip her off. "Come on now would you really rather be in pain?" She asks me I give her a thumbs up.

"April enough! Let the doctor help you!" Abby says upset. I flip her off.

"Is there anything we can do to help doc?" Lucy asks.

"How was she acting?" I hear her say.

"What do you mean?" Abby asks.

"Like before I was called was she crying or was she holding her head. Stuff like that." She answers.

"She groaned when she woke up but didn't open her eyes. I touched her and she whimpered. When we came back she moved away from Abby's hand and swat it. When I touched her side she whimpered again. She also started whimpering and covered her ears." Lucy says.

"I'm gonna need to take her to the hospital. I don't have the right equipment here." She says. I feel a hand start to move under and I turn and bite the arm. I know I did it hard because I can taste blood.

"Fuck!" Lucy yells.

"Looks like we're gonna have to get her to move on her own. I can get someone to bring a wheeling bed here but we're gonna need her to roll on the bed herself since she doesn't like it or just can't be touched." I hear the doctor say. Not long after I hear wheels and the door opening. "Ok now April you want the pain to go away right?" She asks I give her a thumbs up. "So come here and get on this rolling bed." She says and I flip her off. "April come on we're trying to help you." She sighs I flip her off. "What is that supposed to mean?" She asks.

"Uncle...... treatment....." I say weakly. Then my body goes numb and limp and I fall into the black.
