"You weren't lying about the bike..." Tejasswi eyed Karan with a slow dither, he was leaning against his shiny black motorcycle while waiting for her.
"No, but you were. There are no biker pants," he replied amused as he admired the woman in blue Jeans and a white Disney shirt with a Bambi on it.
She gave him a smile. "So that you know, I told everyone I knew that I was going out on a date with a total stranger... and in case I don't return home tonight my younger sister has your detailed description."
"I'm flattered that you remembered enough details to tell her." There was a sly smirk from him.
"Hmmm...." Tejasswi felt his cheeky ways annoying and sank the high heel from her boot down on the ground deeply unimpressed for a start.
He kept on smiling, her hair was loosely trapped behind her ear and she wasn't wearing too much makeup which left her features natural, and what a natural beauty that was.
He had his share of girlfriends and semi-serious relationships but Tejasswi was right off the bat on a whole different new league.
"I'm not comfortable riding on a bike with you... I literally don't know anything about you so I can't just go on and wrap my arms and legs around you while you drive a death machine."
The line made Karan laugh but he nodded respectfully of her fears. "Perhaps we could walk a little before our dinner date takes place?"
Tejasswi pressed her phone against her palm a bit nervous but nodded in agreement.
He smiled pointing to the park near them but could still see her mind working. "I promise that I'm not a serial killer and that I won't lay a finger on you all night."
"Well that's a first... a man who doesn't want to grope and kiss me on the first date..." she said with a deeply suspicious expression.
"You mentioned that your brother was a military, then you know that one of the very first things that we learn is how to respect a woman."
"Okay..." she smiled giving in an inch, as they started walking side by side and with a lot of space between them, she gave him an honest smirk. "Aren't you worried that someone might steal your precious Ducati?"
Karan was highly cheerful that she knew enough about motorcycles to recognize his. "I know half of the police department and my older brother Rishabh is a Commissioner of Mumbai ."
"So if you killed me and needed help to hide the body..." she gave him a side look.
"You have a fixation with this." Karan was intrigued.
She eased up and hid her hands inside her back pockets. "I'm an actor... so expect a very vivid imagination throughout the night."
"That's impressive." Karan was genuinely enthralled.
"I'm not famous or anything... I just struggle to put all that is up here..." she touched her heart and then smiled. "... on screen."
Karan was really liking this girl, there was so much more to her than just her exquisite beauty and he couldn't wait to find out more about her, he pointed at a coffee place. "Is that safe enough for you? It has a lot of people inside and a hot beverage that you can throw at my face if I become too unbearable to sustain."
She laughed and he truly loved how soft it was and how sweet she looked when she was relaxed.
The next hour went by in a hurry, they talked about her family and her passion for acting, her pets, and her unique taste for beauty shows.
Karan also spoke about his life but was always careful not to say too much about what he really did and where he had been, there was a risk in sharing with her information that was classified.
