CHAPTER 3
TWO MONTHS LATER…
Delia Jones
The days that followed business have grown rapidly, unfortunately drawing some attention my way which Blaze has been trying to keep away from me as much as possible. However the more money we make the more questions there are from the other dealers. I moved almost all my crops to Nyla's basement. They are settling in nicely and I have planted some new strains as well. I still had seeds from the very first trees that Jase left so I planted them in my shed as back up. The bigger this business is getting the busier I have become especially now that I'm growing them from Nyla's place because she knows absolutely nothing about growing any kinds of plants she can barely keep herself alive half the time so I have to commute everyday to her place after dropping the kids to check on them then home for my daily routine till after the kids get home from school then back to her place to check on them again. It has been exhausting to say the least but the money that I'm making is making my head spin, not to mention the nerves starting to get to me. If this shit goes sideways I could end up in jail. I'm terrified of the consequences of my actions however I'm completely addicted to the rush. I have thought about stopping all of this a million times then I just get pulled back in when Blaze brings me my cash. I'm carrying on as normal so no one gets suspicious if I start spending which I'm not supposed to be doing for someone who is unemployed. All the money I get goes into the secret stash. I'm not exactly sure how much I have at the moment. I will just add it. I think it's the fact that I'm a little scared to find out how much money I actually have because it looks like it could be a large amount. I go on with the day as normal so Jase doesn't pick up any weird vibes because honestly I'm constantly stressed about this too with the way my weed has been selling. I'm always worried that I might run out before the next batches are ready for harvest. I'm starting to cut it close these days. That's why I'm throwing down as many seeds as possible because I don't want to end up with too many that I have nowhere to put. I need to grow a backbone and fast because if I'm going to be successful in this business I'm gonna need more than just strength and patience.
WEDNESDAY
Delia Jones
I just got home from picking up the kids. Jase will be fetching them for basketball practice soon so it's rush time for me because when they are gone I have to leave to check on the plants. I'm busy prepping everything for supper when my phone rings and it's Jase.
"Hey"
"Hey Dee! I'm having car trouble. Could you bring the boys for practice maybe? Assuming you not busy"
Was Jase being sarcastic because I don't have a social life?
"Ummmm…..sure"
"Thanks, appreciate it. I'm getting a ride with Abe from here so we will drop them off after"
Aaaah Abe, who has been texting with me back and forth for the past two months now. Honestly Abe is just all abs and face he lacks a little in the brains department his like a dumb blonde minus the blonde part.
"Cool I'll see you in a bit"
Jase hangs up and I pack up what I was busy with. I'll drop them then go check on my plants on the way back. I'll finish supper when I get back. The boys come home pretty late when they go for practice so I'm in the clear. I get pulled from my thoughts when I get a text.
Mr. Yummy : See you soon ;)
Abe is Mr. Yummy. He sends random texts all the time and he flirts badly. All I do everytime he says something stupid is look at his profile picture then I'm okay again. I just want to fuck him but I'm scared he catches feelings and I'm just not interested. I don't text back, I leave him hanging instead.
