CHAPTER 6

A FEW MORE MONTHS LATER…….

Delia Jones

After a few months of being Lady Dee more than Delia Jones,  I'm finally starting to feel like the badass everyone knew I had in me. My business is growing faster than I thought it would. I'm learning even more about how things work on the street with the help of Blaze. I only get into Lady Dee's character when I have to meet with my now new business partner Hugo Stone. I know he's trying to bullshit me but I'm letting it slide for now because he's dangerous and I don't have the manpower nor am I that much of a badass to challenge a man like Hugo. He will take me down and everyone I love so for now we have an understanding and a friendship of some sort. Also I need to play it smart to survive. Well his friends with Lady Dee not Delia Jones. Delia Jones has other issues on her plate. Like an ex husband and his best friend. Jase told me he's still in love with me and my response was silence. He didn't press on, he just changed the subject and we haven't spoken about it since. I guess with everything going on I just can't have Jase back in my life. He knows me too well and he will quickly learn who I have become so for now we are just gonna have to be "friends" until I figure shit out. If he really wants more again. I will have to cross that bridge when I get there. This double life I'm leading has me exhausted mainly because I have taken over the streets of Eastbourne and as suspected Caesar didn't like that very much. I'm assuming there is now a target on my back if they knew who Lady Dee was which they don't. Yet. Hugo started this he insisted on me taking over Eastbourne but no matter how many times I refused he kept pressing for that yes so I caved. My outfits for my Lady Dee persona are piling now considering I'm Lady Dee more than anything else. A wide variety of black leather and Lace. Sexy and dangerous. If I don't slow my shit down Delia Jones might disappear for good.

A MONTH LATER….

FRIDAY

Delia Jones

I think I am slowly getting my shit together. I'm trying to find a middle ground where Lady Dee and Delia Jones are concerned. Separating this life from my actual life is not easy but I managed to keep them away from each other for the most part. I'm letting Blaze take the reins for a while because I'm exhausted and the fact that Jase is starting to get suspicious again has me on edge. This life is not safe. I have a son in high school that's very stubborn and very rebellious. Jacobs was acting out a bit at school so I was called in to see his Teacher twice for this month already. I blame myself. I haven't spent much time with my kids this past couple of months nor have I even touched my half written book. I just have alot going on and I feel horribly bad for letting my things get this out of hand. The money has been rolling in since I'm supplying Eastbourne with dope now also. I started using the cabin to count and stash the money away from my house. The last thing I want is my kids finding this amount of money accidentally because Jacob will definitely give me an earful after I grounded him for a month because he got busted with cigarettes at school when he apparently doesn't smoke. I'm not sure if I should believe him, all the evidence points to him being a smoker but he swears he isn't, he was keeping it for someone. I need to build the bond with my kids that we had not too long ago before Lady Dee came to life. I'm just not sure where to start.

I had an idea when I went to spend some time up at the cabin with Nyla two weeks ago. We cleaned up the place a bit, threw out the old furniture for new ones,  hung some clean curtains and Nyla got rid of the spiders. While we were there I discovered there was a basement out back with some old hunting equipment and some of my grandfather's tools. Some old furniture that I could possibly refurbish and discovered the space is huge if I'm not mistaken it could be about the size of the cabin. That's when I had a light bulb moment and decided that this would be a perfect place to grow my merchandise. No one ever really goes out there much and even if they do it's private property from a safe distance because it's a big piece of land. The first thing I'll need to do is put up some kind of barrier so that access to the cabin won't be as easy as coming across it on a hiking trip because there are alot of people hiking through those woods to climb that mountain. I would have to be smart about this and not draw attention to myself. I have enough money to get to work on setting this place up well and getting Nyla out of the firing line. I hate that I'm putting her in danger. She doesn't mind but I do. My best friend loves the thrill and excitement of this situation but she doesn't realize how real things can get.
