The Lady Chapter 10

CHAPTER 10

3 WEEKS LATER…..

The two week vacation I took with Nyla was absolutely amazing. Refreshing to say the least. Blaze made sure that everything at home was taken care of and everyone was safe while I was away. I told Jase Nyla planned a girls trip for me and her so he doesn't get suspicious plus he knows I never do stuff like this. I'm a whole homebody. Indoors where I'm safe most of the time at least. I did a lot of thinking and a lot! Of drinking which I'm not gonna apologize for my nerves were shot after what happened at Caesars Mansion. Besides the fact that Caesar saw my face and then the almost kiss. I could have died not to mention Carter's betrayal. My head was spinning. I felt like my whole second life was spiraling out of control. Meanwhile I still have the Jase and Abe issue to think about which as usual I have been avoiding. Jase has been distant since I got back and I guess I can't blame him. Would it be a bad thing if I got caught in a freaky sexual relationship with both of them? I mean Jase is okay with it. Then on the other hand Jase wants to get back together. What would that entail we go back to the way things were? Or it's me, Jase and Abe. I don't know what to make of all of this. Abe checks in from time to time to see if I'm okay. Abe is the kind of guy that goes for what he wants and he makes damn sure he gets it. With that triangle a foot I also have Caesar who has also been texting keeping me in the loop about the ins and outs in Skystead. We got as much surveillance on Hugo as we could arrange. We need to know what he's up to and according to Caesar he doesn't know that me and Caesar have built an alliance so that gives us an advantage if Hugo still thinks he can put us up against each other. Blaze says Caesar has been very helpful in trying to find the men responsible for following me and then shooting up my car. The less people that know who Lady Dee is the better. When I got back my beautiful pitch black mustang was waiting for me. All gorgeous and shiny. Pity I won't be driving it. Blaze still insists I have someone with me at all times. I don't know how I'm going to continue to hide this life from Jase is beyond me. We're not sure how many people know who Lady Dee is yet so we need to act fast before the beans are spilled and my family is compromised. I have only been back a week and already I'm a ball of stress. 

My quiet time with Nyla was much needed because I finally! Finished No love lost. I guess all the men in my life inspired the ending. I'm relieved that I finished it because I have been writing this damn book since before me and Jase got divorced. I put a lot of things into perspective in that two weeks. Cleared my head a bit and started strategizing on taking Hugo out. Did some practice shooting. I need to be on my A game because it's now or never. I need to be prepared for the worst and I'm starting to think I should tell Jase in case things get too out of hand. This is going to be fun.

FRIDAY EVENING….

I invited Jase over for dinner tonight and after playing hard ball with me he said yes. I'm telling him about Lady Dee tonight. I have to do this because I might need to go full on Lady Dee for a while till the Hugo thing is sorted. Blaze and I have already started planning accordingly without Caesar. He is always "busy" when we plan a meeting. I haven't seen Caesar since the evening at his mansion. We text every other day but nothing that's really of importance he doesn't give me any details about what his up to either just that the Hugo situation is under control meaning his not planning any attacks as far as he knows. I'm paranoid I'm not even gonna lie because this could be a trap. Caesar and Hugo could be plotting against me that is why I have to be prepared for any outcome. I'm starting with Jase. Telling him about Lady Dee is the most important thing I have to do right now and my nerves are shot. 

I sent the boys to Nyla's for the evening so I can speak to Jase. He texted that he is on his way so I'm getting everything ready. My phone goes off so I check to see who the text is from and it's Caesar.
