The city of Megapolis lit up the night with neon signs and streetlamps. The weather station planned a thunderstorm for the first time in a while. The rain hit the pavement and rooftops of buildings as the city slept. Sandy slept, with Mo curled up next to him.

Mo had woken due to the thunder, the blue cat looked outside the window watching the lightning flash in the clouds. The cat slowly began to cower when the dark grey clouds turned a reddish hue, the thunder grew louder, and flashes of lightning were amber and magenta.

"Mo," Sandy finally woke up, "what's happening --- Woah!"

Sandy ran outside, holding Mo, the rain coming down harder, the wind blowing harder, the more the multicolored lightning flashed, the louder the thunder rumbled.

It came to an end when a strike of lightning hit Sandy's boat. The amber goal almost blinded him and Mo. As the clouds turned back to their original hue, the rain went back to its steady pace as it was. The fading flash revealed someone laying on the ground in pain, struggling to get up.

Sandy made his way over to the figure in a black cloak.

"Here," Sandy offered, "let me help you."

The cloaked figure reached their hand out, vision getting blurry as the seconds passed.

"S-Sandy?" That was all they said before collapsing.

Sandy carried them inside, there was nothing he could do until the morning.

"Good morning, Megapolis," the anchorman smiled, "the weather station planned a thunderstorm last night, but we got a little more than thunder."

"That's right," the anchorwoman smiled, "apparently the station is calling it the "Storm of Color". Last night the clouds turned red and multicolored lightning flashed throughout the sky."

MK and Mei were watching the news in Pigsy's shop. Tang was eating his bowl of noodles as Pigsy leaned on the counter to watch the clip from the thunderstorm.

"Currently the weather station and its workers, are trying to find the cause of this weather reaction," the anchorwoman said, "we'll see you tonight."

Pigsy turned off the television.

"Hey!" Mei turned to him. "We were watching that!"

"I need MK to make his morning rounds, not watch the news!" Pigsy's phone started ringing.

"Hello? Sandy?" Sandy's frantic muffling could be heard by the other three. "Woah, Woah, Woah! Sandy what happened!?"

Pigsy just nodded his head, as Sandy continued to talk. It continued for a few more seconds before the phone call ended.

"We need to hurry to Sandy's," Pigsy looked worried, "now."

Sandy was sitting on his couch, his leg bouncing anxiously when his friends busted into his house.

"What happened!?" They unanimously spoke.

"I'm not so sure," Sandy stood up, holding Mo. "We went outside to watch the storm, and then he came from the lightning that hit my boat."

"What do you mean he came from lightning!?" Pigsy yelled.

"From the storm, that's being talked about on the news!" Sandy gave a panicked yell.

"Well, now we know the cause," Tang muttered to himself.

"What happened after the storm!?" Pigsy paid no attention to Tang's muttering.

"I brought him inside, bandaged him and I'm waiting for him to wake up." Sandy explained, "that's why I called you guys."

"Can you stop yelling at each other please!?" MK exclaimed, now standing between them, "Sandy, who is "he", the person who came from the lightning."

"It was...Monkey King." Sandy was concerned.

"MONKEY KING!?" Everyone screamed.

"Yeah, what's up?" Wukong was sitting on the couch eating peach chips.

MK whipped his head back and forth between him and Sandy, shocked and confused. "You're not injured!?"

"Why would I be?" Wukong raised an eyebrow.

"You crash-landed on Sandy's boat last night! H-He treated your wounds!" MK exclaimed.

"He did!?" Wukong had a smug look as he ate another chip. "Because I'm pretty sure, I spent my evening watching three seasons of Monkey King the animated series."

"If that's true," Tang rubbed his chin, "then who did you take in Sandy?"

"I-I'm not so sure now," Sandy began fidgeting with his hands, "but he's still resting in the back room."

As the other four continued to figure out the situation, Mei and MK managed to slip passed them and sneak into the back room, where the stranger was recovering. Mo had followed them, cowering as he walked behind them, still scared. MK slowly opened the door, and the three poked their heads in.

Laying on a bed was a figure, laying on their back, a blanket covering them as they lay still. MK slowly closed the door. Mei noticed a small grey duffle bag hanging on the back of a chair.

"This must belong to him," Mei grabbed the bag, "maybe we can find out something about him this way."

As Mei and Mo began going through the person's bag, MK approached the passed-out figure. Looking at him for only a second, MK knew why Sandy thought it was his mentor. They looked almost identical; the only physical differences MK noticed were that the fur on the top of his head was slicked back, almost as if he was styling it, the second was a slit in his right eyebrow, and the third was the face marking, even though it was the same shape, it was more of a pinkish-red color. Around the mysterious monkey's neck was a golden necklace with a sunburst pendant, in the center of the sunburst was a sunstone. MK reach down to touch the necklace but was quickly stopped by a hand grabbing his wrist. MK slowly, wide-eyed, and terrified looked up to see the monkey had woken up, silently glaring at him.

"MK, you should see all the grooming products this guy has," Mei laughed, "he must care a little too much about his appearance."

"Yeah Mei," MK chuckled nervously, "about that."

The remaining four were outside drinking tea, waiting for MK and Mei to finish checking on the mysterious monkey.

"I wonder what's taking so long?" Tang hummed.

MK was thrown through a wall, when he hit the floor, he skidded for a few feet. As MK began to pick himself up off the ground, the blade of a guandao was pointed at him. The mysterious monkey, chest bare and bandaged from the night before, was standing above him pointing the weapon at him. Mei came running outside with Mo in her hands

"Who are you?" The monkey spoke with authority, "in fact, who are all of you?"

"Easy," Pigsy held up his hands as he slowly approached them, "we don't want to hurt you. Sandy here--"

"Sandy!?" The monkey exclaimed. "What are---wait, Pigsy!?"

Everyone was stunned into silence as the monkey looked amongst the group. He looked towards the city looking for something.

"Tang," he slowly turned to the one he was talking to, "where's the Jade Tower?"

"The Jade Tower? That's currently in the process of construction it won't be finished for five years." Tang adjusted his glasses. "H-How do you know who we are?"

"How do you not know who I am!? And what do you mean the Jade Tower won't be finished for five years!? You guys are acting like the time we spent together didn't mean--" The monkey was hit with a realization, "oh no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no! This is bad this is very, very bad!"

"Easy kid," Wukong placed a hand on his shoulder, "we're all a little confused here. So maybe take a few deep breaths and start from the beginning."

"My name is Tao," Tao looked at Wukong, "this is going to sound crazy, but I think I traveled though time, and that storm might have been the cause."

"Great," Wukong smiled, "now all we have to do is--"

"There's almost something else," Tao chuckled nervously, as he rubbed the back of his neck, "if what I'm thinking is true, and I did travel to the past...then...Hi, Dad."
