Dice Demon's office was a wreck; glasses shattered, papers thrown everywhere, ink on the carpet, and every grand piece of furniture in the large space were either flipped over, broken, or both. His four lackeys, kneeled before him, flinching at every bang of his fist, shattered of a thrown glass, and crash of furniture.

"HOW!?" Dice Demon roared. "HOW DO MY STRONGEST HENCHMEN, KEEP LOSING TO A GROUP OF BRATS!?"

"P-Please M-Mr. Dice," Club was shaking in fear, "if you just give us--"

Club was smacked to the ground, a bruise left on his cheek.

"YOU IDIOTS, YOU'RE DISAPPOINTMENTS!" Dice Demon continued to shout. "WHY SHOULD I GIVE MORONS A SECOND CHANCE!?

"T-They may be able to take us on individually," Club slowly got up, "but they won't expect a sneak attack from all of us. Please, give us this chance, sir."

"Fine," Dice Demon walked past them, "but if you fail me...I won't be so kind."

Daiyu was sitting alone by a lake where fireflies danced above the clear water, in her hands she held both halves of the jade. She pressed them together, the pale blue aura of her powers seeping through the crack, then around the orb itself. When the blue aura faded the black orb slowly turned back to the vibrant jade green it had originally been.

"You fixed it." A voice from behind spoke up.

Daiyu turned around to see MK approaching her. "What are you doing up?"

"I heard you moving around." MK sat down next to her, "why are you up so late?"

"I couldn't sleep," Daiyu shrugged, "too much on my mind."

"It's a lot with Dice Demon and his lackeys, saving the world as well as the future, and now you guys are going to get back to the future after this is all over." MK began listing things off.

"That wasn't what I was thinking about," Daiyu turned to him, "But now I am."

"Sorry," MK nervously chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head.

"It's fine." Daiyu sighed.

"What were you thinking about then?" MK tilted his head.

"If what we're doing is going to erase any doubt people have about me." Daiyu looked out onto the lake.

"What does that mean?" MK scooted closer.

"All my life, everyone except you guys thought I was some no-good freak who would use her powers for evil," Daiyu looked down at her hands, "they said my mixed blood made me an abomination. That I was dirty and corrupted, and that all I would do is cause more trouble the older I got. So maybe, with this, everyone might realize they were wrong about me."

"What those people are telling you isn't true," MK placed a hand on her shoulder, "I may not have known you all your life like my future self. But in the few days, I have known you, you are smart, have shown that you would do anything for your friends and family, and have a good head on your shoulders."

"You've said the same thing in the future too," a small smile was on Daiyu's face. "It's just hard when your father is a demon, and your mother is a--"

Daiyu quickly stood up from the log, looking around as her eyes scanned the area. Something was close, she could sense it.

"MK," She spoke in a hushed tone, "go back to the camp and get my dad and Mr. Wukong."

"W-Wait," MK quickly stood up, "what do you--"

"Go and hurry." Daiyu seemed serious.

MK nodded before running back towards the camp. Being the daughter of Six-Eared Macaque did have some perks, Daiyu stayed still as she listened to the movement around her, whatever it was, it was quick and quiet. She heard voices, from the distance when she put more focus on the voices, that's when the panic set in.
