I hate everything. I am sitting in my room now, attempting to study. Dyaln, Derek, Scott, and Tyler are over at Alex's and they seem to hate me. They keep throwing things at the window and they know that we have a big English test tomorrow and I really want to do well. My mom still isn't home and I am starting to worry. I have called her like 6 times and she's not home. It's 9:30 and she was supposed to get home by 5!
" Honestly" I mumble as a marker smacks against the window. I gracefully walk over to the window and open it slowly.
" Heyyyyyyyyyy" They call.
" I am studying" I growl and I slam the window closed. I make my way back over to my desk. I open my notebook and begin to study, again. I am in the middle of writing a sentence when there is another slam against the window. This time, harder. I groan in frustration.
" Really, next time you might break the damn window" I yell.
" That's the point, we actually just sent Derek to go get a rock from outside" They laugh.
" Wow" I roll my eyes. " I think I'll go study downstairs"
" Not a good idea" Dylan responds.
" Why is that"
" Because" Tyler chimes in " Your mother will ask why you came down and you'll say annoying boys and then she'll say, why are you talking to boys this late"
" And then I'll say, BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T STOP THROWING THINGS AT THE WINDOW. Besides she isn't even home" I whisper the last part, my worry reappearing in my mind. Where could she possibly be? Was she pregnant? Why did I think that?
" Hey uh...." Scott says.
" Brooklyn"
" Brooklyn, you should come to the party at Dylan's on Saturday"
" Thanks, but no thanks" I reply as sweetly as possible.
" I got the rock" Derek yells proudly.
" Too late, bro" Tyler says. He pats Derek on the back and moves aside as Alex comes forward.
" Your coming to the party" He pushes. Yeah right, go to a party with them. Ooh I should say that!
" Yeah right, go to a party with you. I'd rather not" I laugh.
" See you tomorrow night" Alex says, he pulls the curtain closed. Mhm totally. See ya there Alex.
I opened my book back up. I play ITunes radio. When The Beat Drops Out, By someone? comes on! Then I hear the front door creak open. I laugh quietly at my mothers attempt to be quiet. I turn off my light and creep down the stairs. She sets down her bag. I decide to scare her...
