The gameplay is very similar to its predecessor, Tomodachi Life, as it takes place on an island inhabited by various miis that the player creates.
Miis can perform various actions, such as eating/drinking, trying on outfits, visiting other miis, and other activities. When more miis are created, more interactions can occur between them, such as friendship, romance, rivalry, and even some bizarre musical numbers.
If two miis of the opposite gender are introduced, they can maintain good relationships for a long time. When this happens, they can be in a relationship, get married and even have children.
