Problems With Old Gregg

Howard awakes to the familiar and eerie smell of seaweed, he opens his eyes and sees just what he'd expected, Old Gregg.

"Hi, Howard."

"Oh. Umm hi.. Gregg. What brings you to my bedroom this fine day?"

Howard hadn't seen Gregg since the boat incident. He definitely wasn't expecting to see him here.

"I need to talk to ya Howard."

"Oh umm. About what?"

"I love you Howard. Do you love me?"

Old Gregg walked over to Howard's bed.

"I don't know Gregg.. aren't you moving too quick? I hardly know you....and we've been through this before.. I already told you, I'm not interested."

"You know me. Remember the times we've had?"

"Which times?"

"The boat times. And the time at Gregg's place."

"Those were hardly times were they? More like....Sexual assault."

"Why don't you love me? Do you love somebody else?"

"No Gregg. Look. I like women."

"Oh. Prove it."

"I ummm...."

Howard was practically terrified of all women.

"Ha see. You must love me, Exactly as I love you Howard."

Gregg was moving closer to Howard by the second. Until the merman was practically on top of him. Luckily for Howard. Vince walked into the room at that moment.

"Morning Howar- oh. "

"It's not what it looks like. "

"Right."

Old Gregg was facing away from Vince. He saw this as an opportunity. He lip synced to Howard: need help?

Howard nodded slightly.

Vince walked over and kissed Howard.

"Sorry. But he's mine."

"Yeah.... that's right.. sorry for not mentioning it, Gregg."

"Howard. You... "

Gregg looked heartbroken. He moved away from Howard. Howard felt rather emphatic.

"Do you want to be friends..?"

"Huh?"

"I can't love you. But we can be friends.. if you want?"

Old Gregg nodded.

"Can we meet on Thursday? "

"Yeah! I'll see you then Howard!"

With that, Gregg was gone.

"Thanks Vince, I owe you."

"No, it's fine."

"No seriously, I owe you. I think you just saved my life."

"No need. You already let me kiss you to save my back. That was payback.... besides, I got to kiss you."

"What was that last part..? Vince?"

"Nothin'."

Howard moved closer to the smaller man.

"C'mon, what did you say?"

Vince was getting increasingly flustered.

"Nothin'."

Howard kissed Vince.

"Umm..what was that for?"

"Just an extra thanks..."

"Right."
"Going to tell me what you said yet?"

"No."

"Guess I'll talk then."

"Go on..."

'I love you, Vince. More than a friend should. And I know you feel the same."

Vince kissed Howard.

"I love you too."
