The two frivolous teens face each other in utter panic.
Chae-ri takes in quick paced breaths trying to calm her heart, Riki sits still in confusion as to what just happened.
He just wanted a calm lunch at his spot, but this girl disturbed his peace once again.
"What happened...?" Chae-ri breaks the silence once she finally calms herself.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that? I mean, you were the one screaming like a madman in your sleep..."
"I what-?!" She jolts up in embarrassment.
"Who knows, you might be faking it! You could actually be a psycho stalker who's come here to haunt me!"
"What are you even talking about?!" The girl shouts back, being completely offended.
The boy only glared at her, before picking up his remaining lunch and standing up to leave.
"The world doesn't revolve around you, you know!" The girl manages to shout before he's out of earshot.
Chae-ri scolds herself for embarrassing herself in front of the boy who already seems to hate her.
She argues with herself internally, cleaning up her area and retreating indoors for her next class.
With her mind on autopilot mode, she accidentally bumps into someone quite a bit taller than her. She hardly notices, causing her to trip over the person's shoe and face-plant to the floor.
"Oh my God! Are you okay?" The still unidentified male calls out to her, reaching his hand out to help her.
She looks up to see that Nishimura boy's friend, Jungwon, who introduced her earlier.
Without a second thought she groans, and lets her internal thought flow out of her mouth, "No! I'm not okay! Your jerk of a friend is so self-centered and rude for no reason! I've embarrassed myself twice in the past 20 minutes and it's only the first day of school! I have no money to afford a proper lunch-" She stops and slaps her mouth shut in realization to the information she's letting out, not wanting to expose herself and her thoughts further.
'Make that the third time in 21 minutes' she mentally notes
Chae-ri rolls her head and helps herself up, ignoring the hand of the now speechless Yang Jungwon. He hesitantly pulls his hand back, still thinking back on everything the girl just said.
"Uh- yea...maybe we should go talk this out somewhere else..."
Chae-ri's eyes quickly meet the boy's at this statement, and before she could protest, she's being pulled toward an unknown destination.
The two arrive at the school's library, and Jungwon leads her to a booth.
"Go ahead, talk about it," Jungwon demands.
"O-oh, I'm sorry...you don't have to listen. I didn't mean to say all of that," She lowers her head in shame.
"No, I understand! You can't keep it bottled up forever. Think of me listening to you as an apology for bumping into you and tripping," He smiles at the girl in front of him
She takes in a deep breath, and finally agrees to ranting to him.
