Elora's POV
To say things have been hell is an understatement. From the moment Percy went missing, they sent out scouts to look for him, Grover went out yesterday. He's been missing for three days now. The Hecate children did locator spells but he was cloaked.
Last night, Elora and Annabeth got a dream message, saying to go to the grand canyon and the answers would be found with a boy who was missing his shoe. They brought this to Chiron and Elora said Annabeth should go, they didn't need both of them. Elora also kept most of the peace in camp right now, so they agreed.
She also had a feeling that Percy wasn't at the grand canyon, and right now, after the other night, she was listening to those feelings.
As soon as Annabeth and Butch, son of Iris and best equestrian, left on the chariot, Elora started getting a headache. She pushed through, but at one point it got so bad that she was getting light headed.
Elora was checking on Jake Mason, head of the Hephaestus cabin, who had burned his entire body. Elora finished rewrapping Jake's bandages as soon as the cabin door opened.
A voice she didn't recognize spoke, "They got a steampunk theme going on, huh?"
She looked at Jake, confused. They heard him pick something up, "A weed whacker? What's the god of fire want with a weed whacker?"
Jake spoke, "You'd be surprised." The curtains opened to reveal Will Solace and a short scrawny kid. "I'm Jake Mason. I'd shake your hand, but..."
"Yeah, don't get up."
Elora shook her head with a small smile. "Hi, I'm Elora, head counselor for the Hecate cabin." She turned to Jake. "I'll check on you in a few hours, and I'll bring you dinner."
The scrawny boy stammered, "I'm Leo."
"It's nice to meet you Leo, don't take the tiredness and attitude from everyone personally, it's been a rough few months and an even rougher few days." she said walking to the door. She gave a quick hug to Will on her way out and gave a soft goodbye and a smile before shutting the cabin door.
She set out for Annabeth, so she could tell her what happened. However all she came across was Laura Cooper, daughter of Persephone and Annabeth's girlfriend, also looking for the daughter of Athena.
The two looked around before deciding to look in the woods. "I don't see out of this entire camp we can't find her." Elora complained, turning around to face the camp with her arms spread. Just then, they saw two demigods with red and blond hair carrying an unconscious demigod towards the big house.
The two shared a look before sprinting to the big house. They got there a few moments after Rachel and Annabeth did. They opened the door to find Annabeth handing Chiron a medicine bag. Elora ran over, kneeling beside Chiron and asking what happened. The blond boy started talking about a vision he had just moments before.
When he finished Elora asked Annabeth, "Where were you when this happened?"
"Hera's cabin."
Elora felt her headache get worse. It was silent for a few moments, everyone processing it. With each passing moment her headache got worse. She leaned her head down on the couch next to the girl and clenched her eyes shut.
She could hear the others talking but they were disoriented and sounded far away. She heard her name be said a minute later. Her headache slowly faded and she lifted her head up to find all of them looking at her.
"Are you alright my dear?" Chiron's voice held concern as he said it. "I'm alright, sorry I don't know what came over me." She lifted her hand over the brunette's head, her palm glowed purple, as well as her eyes. "She's fine, just needs more rest."
She stood up and asked Laura and Rachel to help her carry her to the infirmary. Chiron stopped the black haired girl before she could grab the girl though.
"After you take Piper to the infirmary, I want you to rest in your cabin. You've exhausted yourself these last few days."
Elora agreed with the centaur, perhaps if she went to sleep her ragging headache would go away. The three of them carried Piper to the infirmary. Elora asked Will to bring Jake dinner if she didn't wake up in time.
As soon as Elora crawled into her bed she passed out.
She slept through the night and the whole next day. Annabeth filled her in about Jason, Leo and Piper's quest.
"Let's hope they free her, and that they all make it back." Elora said with little hope.
A few days later they returned with a tale to tell. They all sat in the rec room around the ping pong table. Elora had been staring off into space, before Chiron brought their attention back to topic.
Jason spoke about their quest, and ended with Hera's visit in his cabin. "So Hera was here," Annabeth said. "Talking to you."
Jason nodded. "Look, I'm not saying I trust her-"
"That's smart" Annabeth cut in.
"-but she isn't making this up about another group of demigods. That's where I come from." Jason finished.
"Romans." Clarisse tossed Seymour a Snausage. "You expect us to believe there's another camp with demigods, but they follow the Roman forms of the gods. And we've never even heard of them."
Piper sat forward. "The gods have kept the two groups apart, because everytime they see each other, they try to kill each other."
"And I respect that..." Elora pulled her knees up to her chest as the rest continued talking.
Her headaches had only gotten worse as the days went on, she laid her head on her knees. She was brought back when someone recited the last line of the great prophecy.
"Gaea has opened the doors of death, she's letting out the worst villains of the Underworld to fight us. Medea, Midas–there'll be more I'm sure. Maybe the line means that the Roman and Greek demigods will unite, and find the doors, and close them."
"Or it could mean they fight each other at the doors of death, it doesn't say we'll cooperate." Clarisse pointed out.
There was a moment of silence before Annabeth spoke again. "I'm going, Jason, when you get this ship built, let me go with you."
"I was hoping you'd offer," Jason said. "You of all people–we'll need you"
"I need to go too." Elora said, looking up at them. "Think about it, Daughter of Hecate." She spoke to Annabeth and the blond nodded her head.
"Wait. I mean that's cool with me and all. But why Annabeth and Elora of all people?"
Elora knew the answer a while ago, "Hera said Jason's coming here was an exchange of leaders, a way for the two camps to learn of each other's existence." Elora explained
"Yeah?" Leo said. "So?"
"An exchange goes two ways," Jason picked up where she left off. "When I got here, my memory was wiped. I didn't know who I was or where I belonged. Fortunately, you guys took me in and I found a new home. I know you're not my enemy. They may not be so nice to him, and if they learn where he comes from, he's going to be in serious trouble."
He's going to be in trouble no matter what. Elora thought, knowing the tendencies of Percy Jackson.
"Him?" Leo said, still confused. "Who are you talking about?"
"My best friend," Annabeth said grimly. "He disappeared around the same time Jason appeared. If Jason came to Camp Half-Blood–"
"Exactly," Jason agreed. "Percy Jackson is at the other camp, and he probably doesn't even remember who he is."
So I kinda gave up half way through, I got bored with it. So it's not the best but I'll fix it later.
I hope you enjoyed!!
