Throughout rehabilitation training, Tanjiro felt something odd. Or he rather smelt something odd.
Something about you felt- smelt different. Don't get him wrong, he was more than happy to see you, to be near you. But your sent, it was different. Unfamiliar even.
It confused him. He found himself often looking at you, staring would be a better word for it. He just couldn't help himself. He could tell something was different about you but he couldn't come to a conclusion as to what it was.
The more he paid attention, the more he was able to notice slight differences about you. And the more differences he made, the more he felt himself grow upset.
He noticed how you moved as if you were constantly confused on how to. How when you were able to do certain things that you'd usually do, you looked surprised as if you weren't able to before. Or even the slight change of how you would look at everyone as if you've never met them before.
Tanjiro always paid attention to you. It was something he couldn't help, you're just so enticing to him. But for some reason, this time was different.
He wasn't admiring you like usual. He watched you because you seemed different, unfamiliar.
Once rehabilitation training was over, he hoped to talk to you. For him, it seemed like it had been so long since he last had a chance to talk to you. Even though it ha been only two months, and he slept through most of it so he only really had to wait a week. But still.
As soon as rehabilitation training was over, he focused his sole attention on you. Noticing how you immediately headed over to the door so quietly that he wouldn't have noticed you if your scent didn't claim his nose.
"Y/n." He calls your name softly as he places a hand on your shoulder. You jump at the sudden contact which makes his brows furrow from confusion.
You were already use to his touch.
"Uh, hi. . .?" You manage to speak, your voice very small with a dose of unsettingness and uncertainty in your tone. He feels another wave of confusion wash over him.
You never showed too many emotions, especially vulnerable ones.
"I just have a question." He spoke with a small smile, masking the pleading in his eyes.
"Uh, sure." You spoke with the same small voice. But he said nothing, which made you furrow your brows from confusion as he just stared at you, patiently, as if he was waiting for something.
You tilt your head a little, leaning your weight on one leg as you slightly become annoyed with waiting for him to speak. "Are you going to ask me your question?"
