I woke up the following day without a problem. , So naturally, I woke up a bit earlier than everyone else. Or at least I thought that until I went downstairs and saw luke in the kitchen. I walked in to find that he was cleaning up from last night. "You know we have a housesitter coming to stay while we're gone, right?" I asked him with a smile while I sat at the counter.

He grinned at me, "I don't want to leave them with our party mess." He finished placing some beer cans into the bag and sat it on the floor. I watched as he took out some sugar and a mug. "I made you some coffee."

"Aw, thanks," I said as I went to grab another mug. "Let's make each others morning coffee." He looked at me and nodded with a smile. I loved how much he was always in a good mood with me. Even when we were together romantically, he would constantly have that positive energy. The only difference is he was more touchy. I guess that would be something I miss the most about him-his genuine touch.

Since luke and I have been friends for almost a decade, we knew each other coffee order like the back of our hands. Mine was black with two sugars, and he was milk and two sugars. He finished mines pretty quickly, but as I was about to finish his, my phone started ringing on the counter. I left everything by the coffee maker and went to answer my phone. Luke took over his coffee and watched me talk. It was a new number. "Hello?" I asked curiously.

"Hey, Vanessa? It's Johnny."

Hearing his name sparked my energy, and I sped up with joy. "Hey, how'd you get my number?" The excitement in my voice causes luke to turn around in interest. 'Who is that?' He mouthed. 'Johnny,' I mouthed back. He raised his eyebrow and then turned around to finish his coffee.

"Uhm, Aniya, I think. She's your friend."

I closed my eyes and sighed a bit, "of course she did." Aniya was everyone's biggest wingman. She rooted for everyone's happiness, and I loved that about her. "If she said anything else weird, then I apologize."

"No, actually, she just gave me your number. Said you'd be interested."

"Well, I guess she's right on that part," I said with a growing smile. Luke turned back around. He had finished his coffee. "But was there a reason you called? I should start getting ready for the press conference."

"Just wanted to let you know and tell you good morning."

Even though I tried not to, I was blushing just a little bit. "Good morning Johnny. I'll see you in a bit." I lastly said, then hung up.

"How'd he get your number?" Luke asked while taking a sip of his coffee while giving me mine.

"Aniya," I said with a shrug.

"Why would she do that?" he asked again but with a bit of agitation.

"I honestly don't know, but I'll find out later." After I said my answer, it was quiet while I waited for a response. The silence felt awkward and off. I wouldn't say I liked it, so I got ready.

We didn't break the silence until Michael walked into the kitchen, yelling, "Let's get this tour started!" I chuckled at his loudness and went to get ready.

I got to my room and quickly packed some bags to ensure I had everything. I wouldn't be back for a couple of months. Being satisfied with what I had, I started to get ready. I walked into my closet, debating about what I wanted to wear for the press conference. I kept it super simple; Short black overalls with a white crop top, a tiny black round bat, and black and white converses. Simple and comfy, I would only have to change again during the concert tonight.

I lunged all my bags downstairs and waited for Caleb to appear with the tour buses. "We have to stop by the hotel before we head over to the conference center," was the first thing he said as he stepped off the first bus. "Whatever you say, let's just get started." Michael once again spoke with glee. I chuckled at his enthusiasm and helped pack the tour buses.
