This bike ride with Johnny was the most fun I've ever had. We rode around the island, watching the sunset and seeing beautiful beaches. We even visited a few towns, checked the local markets, and visited important monuments and landscapes. Everything was stunning to watch and interact with. Johnny, on the other hand, was the ideal companion. He had his camera with him and took pictures of whatever he could. Experiencing this with him felt like a dream, and I enjoyed every moment. I've grown closer to him.
Though the sun was already set and the moon was shining above us, we stayed sitting at the beach close to the hotel. It was late at night, so no one else was surrounding us except a few people walking away in the distance. We sat in the sand a few inches apart, staring at the water. It was quiet, but the sounds of the waves were crashing in front of us. I picked up a handful of sand and let it slip through my fingers a few times, then looked toward johnny, who had been quiet and zoned out. "You've been quiet," I said with the accomplishment of capturing his attention. "Haven't said anything cheesy, risky, and coy in a while."
He smiled at my comment, and instead of responding, he took out his camera and pushed a few buttons before facing me with the lens. I smiled a bit and tossed a simple peace sign for the quick candid. "Inside and out, you're a beautiful person," he said as he got the photo ready to show me. I crawled closer to him and saw his skill. It was so appealing and natural without using many filters or editing.
I shook my head with a grin and hurried back to my side, "No, I think that's just your ability to work a camera."
As I moved, he moved as well to get close to me, "Maybe," he looked at the sky and responded. "The moonlight helps, and so does white balance-" My mind drifted off as I watched johnny explain how his hobby worked. I checked out after I realized how physically attractive he was under the stars and moonlight. He was already exceptional emotionally and intellectually, but he had my full attention tonight. After hearing the words 'Math,' I checked back in and immediately needed clarification about why math and photography correlate. He chuckled at my ignorance and put his camera away, "did your mind flutter away?"
I looked down at his camera and then back at him, "Im so sorry." I didn't want him to know how my distraction came about, so I quickly racked my mind for a different response. "I've spent almost 8 hours inside a studio, doing nothing but listening and studying various music. Im kinda tired."
"Oh," he grabbed my hand and stood up, wiping our clothes from the sand. "Do you want to go to the hotel? I guess you did have an engaging day."
I looked at the hotel and dreaded the feeling. Taking these few hours with johnny doing something that isn't music-related felt way too relaxing. I know once I walk into that hotel, Caleb will bombard me with a bunch of stuff I need to do. We spent these last two weeks doing nothing but work. On top of that, if anybody recognized me, that would add more to my day. I shook my head, looking back at johnny, "Not really. I don't want to go back to being a celebrity just yet."
He nodded his head and looked out into the ocean, "Do you want to go swimming?" he asked while taking off his shirt. I watched him strip down, then quickly looked behind us.
"Right now?" I looked back at him and saw his body for the first time. It was more muscular toned than I could have imagined, about the same as what luke was. "We could just go to the pool in the hotel."
He stood back up, unbuckled his pants, and took off his shoes, "We could. I would rather swim in the ocean."
I thought about his convincing point and stripped down with him, leaving on my bra and panties. He left his camera behind with our clothes and walked into the blue sea shortly after I followed him. I watched our area, making sure nobody saw us, without a surprise since it was late, nobody was around anymore-just us two.
