Out of all the parties someone may have in their lifetime, whether it is an office party, birthday party, or pool party, a farewell party needs to be one of the best. Everything must be in place, and everything needs to be extra times 10. So for the past hour, I walked around our house to ensure everything was prepared for when our guests arrived.

I checked the kitchen, "Beer and food, check."

As well as the backyard area. The DJ was still setting up, so that's OK. The pool is cleaned. LED signs was lit and bright. There was confetti everywhere and a huge black and white 'SEE YOU SOON' banner hanging over the pool with matching colored balloons. "Music, Decorations and Entertainment, check."

I walked back into the house, which was nice, open, and clean. There were some more balloons around the house and some confetti sprinkled across the floor. I checked on my other bandmates, who were lounging comfortably in the living room, only to find out we were missing one. "Where's Michael?"

"Sleep," they all answered simultaneously. My head fell back to the ceiling with a slight groan.

"The party is about to start, and he's sleeping?"

"Whose sleeping?" Aniya walked into the living room while putting on her jewelry. She asked as she was placing her earrings in. The only one in our friend group who wasn't in the band. However, we keep her around always anyways cause we love her. We were friends before the band blew up while in school together,

and we're still friends now. She looked at me and then towards the guys on the couch and dropped her hands. "And why aren't you guys ready?"

"Hold on, now, just because we're sitting and relaxing doesn't mean we aren't ready." Ashton defended. He was sitting there eating some chips with Calum.

"We've been setting this party up for hours. Chill." Calum joined in.

"Ashton, you are wearing sweatpants." Aniya folded her arms. Now that she mentioned it, they weren't looking at their beat. Ashton is wearing sweatpants, Luke's hair is messy, and Calum's clothes aren't even matching.

"Vanessa," Calum looked at me for help, but I couldn't.

"Sorry, but I have to side with Aniya on this one. Michael is still sleeping, and you guys don't look your best." I walked over to Luke and tried to fix his hair somehow. It was in such a messy, dirty blond, wet bun with multiple strands out. "There will be cameras, and we'll meet the other band touring with us today. Caleb said."

"Caleb should have been planning this stuff from the jump." Luke laid his head back to look at me and complained.

I leaned down and pressed my nose against his. "Caleb is our manager, not our assistant." I moved my head and faced the other guys. "And he'll be here any minute; please get ready. Look presentable." They all stood up and left to get changed except Luke.

He held my hand and pulled me up from the couch arm. "Come with me " He smirked. I grinned and hugged him.

"No," Aniya separated Luke from me and shoved him slightly toward the stairs. "Go get ready."

"OK, bossy," he joked, then rushed upstairs. Aniya faced me with a smirk as well.

"Let's hope you two can focus on this tour together without being glued to one another." She teased, then went to sit on the couch.

" we'll be fine. We agreed just to stay friends while working o our careers. We know how to stay professional." So I sat beside her and played with my hair a bit. Luke and I dated for a while at the beginning of our band's career, but as we continued to get more prominent on the charts, it got more difficult for us to be romantically involved. It became more professional than personal, so we called it quits.
