I planned on ignoring everyone the next day. I don't know where luke and johnny went last night, but after taking some time to myself after that fight, I decided to leave the party. I've received texts and calls from both but have nothing to say. I lay in the hotel bed the following day, scrolling through the messages, thinking about who I would choose. Aniya kept texting me throughout the night, updating me on what had happened between her and Michael. She made her choice quickly, which made me somewhat envious of how she could make one within 30 minutes while I've had this issue for over a month. I tossed the phone onto the pillow beside me and sat up to get dressed. I looked through my luggage and gathered some sweats and a shirt.

I hurried to finish and carried my stuff to find aniya sitting by the window across from me. I wasn't too much in a rush to get decent until I heard thuds outside my door. I watched the action around me and was in awe of how calm and quiet it was. Usually, many musicians are running around here, but I didn't see one.

I sat beside her, watching my crew and staff loading the buses and trucks outside. "Where is everyone?" I asked, facing her.

"Both bands are having a private meeting downstairs," she said as she rubbed my knee. "But...happy birthday, babe." She said with a small smile.

I smiled at her words and shook my head slightly, "Thanks, but how can they have a whole band meeting without the leader."

She shrugged and leaned back on the wall, "Maybe to speak about last night?"

I stood up and started to walk away, "I still need to be there. They don't know what led up to it."

I walked past everyone packing up boxes and rolling things onto the elevator. I stayed out of their way as much as possible and took the steps to the 2nd floor to the business areas. Soon as I get down there, I notice security detail at two doors directly across each other. I looked at both, not knowing which was which until I saw windows showing off each room.

I look at the one to my left and see Johnny sitting with his group and Jenny speaking. She looked upset, but Johnny didn't seem like he was paying attention. He was in his thoughts. I looked around the room and saw nobody else. It was a private meeting, as Aniya said. I walked to my right and saw the same thing. Just Caleb is talking to everyone. I slowly walked into the room, and all eyes fell on me, "so we're doing secret meetings without the lead singer now?" I asked as I walked further into the rooming, eyeing everyone but landing on caleb

"It's about last night," Caleb folded his arms. "I was told you weren't physically involved. That's all that matters. You weren't supposed to come until later." He rolled off the desk and went to pour himself a cup of coffee from the array of beverages and fruit on the side table.

"Then what was told to you?" I asked promptly. I took a seat next to Calum and looked almost directly at luke. He stared at me for a few seconds, then down at his feet. Just looking at him pissed me off all over again. I glared back at Caleb and faced him, fully awaiting a response.

"Well, from my understanding, a public fistfight between the top two upcoming touring bands occurred last night at the birthday party of the lead singer, who has an EP coming out in a couple of weeks." He opened his laptop to show us new articles that started circling. "I gave clear instructions yesterday to interact with them, not fight them!" he raised his voice slightly and breathed to calm down. "The label is pissed. This is too much damage that needs to be controlled."

"They aren't the only ones," I said as I again looked over at luke, expecting him to say something, but he kept looking down at the ground. I couldn't tell how he was feeling, but he needed to know how hurt I was by the broken promises from yesterday. I gave up on wanting his attention and leaned back in the chair to pay attention to whatever Caleb said.
