Ghost: "is your head okay?"

What? He wasn't going to talk about walking in on me? I sighed in relief.

Y/n: "um, yea my head is fine. I have a slight headache but I'll be alright, thank you."

Ghost: "I'm glad you're okay, you had me worried for a moment. Thought i was going to need a new caretaker." Simon chuckled.

Y/n: "are you okay?"

Ghost: "I'm fine."

It felt strange talking to Simon. He was still cold towards me, but he had moments where he was kind and caring.

Y/n: "I'm starting to think you're quite fond of me, Ghost."

Ghost: "maybe i am."

I smiled at Simon's response. It felt like he was starting to loosen up, at least he was joking around now. Unfortunately it felt kind of awkward considering what just happened. I wasn't even sure if i wanted to know the answer, but i can't avoid the obvious.

Y/n: "Ghost... did you see anything last night?"

Ghost: "are you sure you want me to answer that?"

I sighed.

Y/n: "i think i do.."

Ghost: "i saw you fingering yourself, if that's what you're wondering."

I felt so embarrassed. I still liked Simon but i didn't know what he thought of me, and by the looks of it he probably despised me.

Y/n: "oh..." i mumbled.

Simon walked over to me and stood in front of me, before placing his hand on my cheek.

Ghost: "you're pretty fucking sexy, you know that?"

My face turned red and my body started to heat up. It felt suffocating.

Y/n: "i mean, i'm not unattractive.."

Simon placed his other hand on my hip and pulled me closer to him. My chest was on his and our faces were inches apart.

Ghost: "fuck i want you so badly." Simon groaned.

I couldn't see much under his mask, hut the way he looked at me aroused me. He looked like he craved me, and was going to demolish me right then and there.

Y/n: "I want you too, Simon.."

Simon let go of me and backed away.

Ghost: "fuck... we can't do this."

Simon said before abruptly leaving the room.

What does he mean? He came onto me. Suddenly he can be so, bipolar? I don't know what his problem is. He can flirt with me one moment and be cold the next. Of course i'm his care taker and it would be unprofessional to have relations with him... but i was his childhood friend first and foremost.

3:00pm

Simon's been avoiding me today. Even though i busted my head open, he still has the gall to avoid me. I didn't care much though, he was acting childish and i couldn't care less. Anyhow, Simon's "friend" is paying us a visit today. His name is Soap, and he's with Simon on Task Force 141. I was quite happy about Soap paying a visit, considering the past few days i've been alone with Simon. Maybe it could break the awkward tension between us after earlier today.

8:00pm

Soap should be arriving around 5pm. I tried seeing if Simon would do the checkup before Soap came over. Of course, as the childish prick he is, he ignored me.

At around 8:30pm i heard a knock at the door. I went to open the door in Simon's place and introduced myself to Soap before letting him inside.

Y/n: "I'm not really sure where Simon is but you're free to make yourself comfortable."

Soap: "did you just call Ghost, Simon?" Soap laughed.

Y/n: "why does it matter? Not like he's around anyway."

Ghost: "that'll do!"

I slightly flinched at Simon yelling.

Y/n: "christ Ghost."

Simon walked over and sat with me and Soap.

Ghost: "it's good to see you again, sergeant."

Soap: "it's good to see you too, lieutenant."

I sat to the side whilst Simon and Soap chatted. They weren't talking about much outside of work. I started to drift off to sleep.. but before I completely fell asleep Simon woke me up.

Ghost: "y/n?"

Y/n: "what?.." i said, with my eyes barely open.

It was pitch black. I couldn't see anything. I started to feel a bit anxious, i wasn't afraid of the dark necessarily, but i hated not being able to see my surroundings. It made me feel like a sheep in headlights, especially in a safe house in the middle of nowhere.

Ghost: "the power went out, Soap is going to try and turn the power back on. I'm going to go and check around the building."

Y/n: "don't go!" I yelled.

Y/n: "I'm afraid, please stay."

Simon didn't say anything for a minute.

Ghost: "okay, i'll stay with you."

Simon sat next to me. I couldn't see much but i could feel him, and i held onto him. I felt like a child asking him to stay, but i was scared and worried.

Y/n: "did someone turn the power off?"

Ghost: "not sure. Only Shepherd and Soap know where the safe house is located."

Y/n: "can you trust Soap?"

Ghost: "of course i can, i'd never put you in danger, not intentionally at least."

Y/n: "i'm surprised, seemed like you despised me for a while" i laughed nervously.

Simon didn't respond, we sat in silence for a while. I was on edge, but i felt safer with Simon next to me.

Ghost: "I could never despise you, y/n."

Just as Simon said that, the lights came back on, along with Soap running back inside.

Soap: "is everything okay?"

Ghost: "is something wrong sergeant?"

Soap: "everything's fine, it was just a normal power surge."

Ghost: "did you see or hear anyone?"

Soap: "no."

Soap walked over and sat down next to me and Simon.

Soap: "i think i'll head out in a bit, i need to be at the base in the morning."

Ghost: "alright sergeant."

Simon and Soap sat up and walked towards the door to say their goodbyes. When it was my turn i sat up and gave Soap a hug goodbye.

Once Soap left i went back upstairs and got ready for bed. Enough had happened today and my headache was coming back. I tried to sleep but i felt paranoid. Did someone know we were here? Wad someone after Simon? I kept tossing and turning in bed.

I was exhausted and hadn't gotten any sleep at this point. I got up out of bed and knocked on Simon's door.

Y/n: "Simon? Can i stay with you tonight?"
