Mihawk studied the dagger that Nova had given him. The metal glistened under the sun's rays with his eyes picking up the odd small rings - shimmering like a bubble. He recalled the creator of the dagger and their previous conversation. The mood had gotten tense when she said that love would break the chains confining her with Nova quietly bringing him back to his boat. Parting ways with the tense silence between them.
Mihawk twirled the dagger between his fingers before slicing towards the oncoming weaklings that dared to challenge him. Taking in the powerful slash that held double the power his standard attack usually output with his hidden blade. It was a fine blade but was still not perfected. The swordsman tucked away his blade and stepped over the bodies of the bleeding attackers. Silently making his way towards his boat. Deciding on a whim to attend the shichibukai summons once more.
Tilting his hat, Mihawk reclined in his seat. His mind going back to the creator of his dagger. "The dagger will be called Mistral. A cut strong and cold like the fierce winds." Closing his eyes and prepared to take a nap.
"Mihawk-dono!" A marine saluted the shichibukai as he parted his ship. "I've informed Sengoku-sama of your arrival." Shaking in fear as the world's greatest swordsman breezed past him silently. Knees gave way as soon as the serious man passed. "S-so-powerful."
Mihawk ignored the man and went on his way. Taking the familiar route towards the meeting room for the shichibukai. He wasn't blind to see the marines and government agents acting more upbeat with few showing signs of nervousness.
"Did you see her? I wonder what she's doing here."
"It's definitely her! I thought it was a trick of the light but I'll never forget her face."
"I wonder why she's here. Heard she can't stand the others. Can't blame her to be honest." "They're a bunch of pricks - think they're special."
"I just saw her in the courtyard. I should try talking to her."
"I hope they don't start another fight. It took three months to get everything fixed the last time!"
Mihawk frowned and stopped a couple of the agents. "What's going on?"
The agent looked surprised, "I'm surprised you don't know. Then again, the shichibukai don't really come here. Lady Wrath is here! Rumour has it that Lady Wrath refuses to step in Mariejois outside of the bi-annual meeting for the deadly sins because of a big argument she had with Lady Lust."
The other agent nodded in agreement. "They usually fight all the time but it was a big deal this time that Fleet Admiral Sengoku had to step in. No one was sure what started it but whenever the two are in the same room there's always a fight. Word around is that Lady Lust was bad-mouthing the marine hero."
The first agent nodded along, "Aye I've heard of that. Wouldn't surprise me since Lady Wrath pretty much worships Garp-san." He bawled his fists passionately as tears sprung in his eyes. "It's so unfair! Garp-san gaining the attention of such a cool woman."
Mihawk heard enough and left the awed men behind. Passing by the courtyard when he spotted the familiar shade of blonde standing across from five of the other sins. They were glaring daggers at Nova as she stood unaffected.
"What are you doing here, Loser?" Pride sneered at the unwavering woman. Her blank stare unnerved him.
"Why shouldn't I be here?" Wrath replied coolly, "One of my soldiers has fallen to a shichibukai. It seems to me that since Glutton fell so easily then the rest of you are lacking in your training." The soft wind blew through her baggy white shirt. The loose black shorts grazed against her knees. "More so, our orders were taken. This is unacceptable." Wrath's eyes narrowed as she folded her arms.
