Chapter 13

Nicole was right.....the dino's where the motivation for Rick in fixing portal travel, now he and Morty where able to go on adventures now and leave Nicole for a little bit. Nicole's older brother thanked her for the new wealth and was grateful to her, as for Nicole her movie in Japan was released and was a hedge hit. It was also the star of Nicole's movie/acting career, which meant seeing less of Rick which she was very happy with. Though now that the rift was closed up she wondered what would happen next, Nicole was upset with one thing along with her brother and family members that thought a lot like them and how low humanity was after the dino's had left. It made Nicole almost ashamed that humanity can't change most of there nature, she knew it can't be forced which would make things worse and stupid.

"Thinks won't change with our species will they?" Nicole had question her brother as they where both having lunch outside in her brother brand new luxurious home with the help of Nicole, her brother sighed before answering her.

"Doesn't look like it? Though..it's easy to manipulate and control if you know what your doing?"Him saying that they both sighed with disappointment then Nicole said

"I'm happy our family isn't like that....most of the time. I'm also happy your kids take after US more."Nicole had asked her brother how things where doing after gaining a good amount of wealth, Nicole was a little surprised that her youngest niece Julia had decided to take up music lessons mainly wanting to learn how to play the cello while Iris wanted to learn how to play the koto. Nicole knew how because of her Japanese grandmother and her two great aunts, Nicole had found out after the whole trip to Japan Iris wanted to honor more of her Asian background. From koto playing to even learning how to perform a Japanese tea ceremony, it amazed Nicole seeing how much Iris wanted to a lot like her. Yes Nicole knew those traditions and knew them well along with her brother and her cousins from her dad's side that where a fourth Japanese just like them, it also showed how different her niece's where from each other with one before in in touch with her Japanese roots than thee other. Nicole will never have kids and had no intention too but at least one of her brother's kids was like her carbon copy so there wasn't much worry.

Returning back to her home, being reminded of her Japanese grandmother Nicole had decided to play her grandmother's koto that she had gotten from her grandmother's wile and played it outside in her backyard during the full moon, she hadn't really played it since she had first moved but missed playing it since it brought back a lot of good memories.

"Beautiful playing Nicole." Hearing Rick's voice out of no where after I was done playing shocked me, I looked over at thee entrance to me back door seeing Rick leaning on the open door as I barely groaned in annoyance

"What the fuck do you want now?"

"I didn't know you played the koto? where did ya get that anyway?" Where Rick's words as he sat down next to her as she answered him

"It's my grandmother's she taught me how to play it, this is my first time playing it since I moved here."

"Rick what do you want? Really?" Nicole questioned that to him as she looked away from her as he answered him

"I know you still don't want me in your life the way I want, but I'm trying...I'm trying to change?" Him talking like that confused Nicole a little that made her look at him before she put down the koto

"YOU? Being open with your emotions? As much as I fucking hate you I've been around you long enough to know your personality....I know when something doesn't seen right? You've been acting different to me after the whole mind trip. What's going on...really?" The second after she questioned that Rick sighed before answering her

"I guess you deserve to know? THIS involves you." Nicole was confused by Rick's words but he ended up taking Nicole to his underground lab and to the level where he had all his research in tracking down Rick Prime, Nicole clearly saw just how obsessed Rick was in catching the guy. What surprised her more was seeing that Rick had made copies of all her childhood photo's from thee album that she had on her all dating back from when she was four years old to at thee end of her high school life, what creeped her out was seeing the zoomed in images of the Rick Prime in those photo's.

"All these years...I thought he didn't give a shit about anything nor valued anything?" Rick said that to Nicole as he was looking at the hologram of Rick Prime twerking on the glass tub that weirded out Nicole in seeing again then Rick looked over at Nicole

"Then there's you Nicole, something about YOU drew you to him even at a very young age. And he kept a VERY close eye on you before you came into my life." Him saying that worried Nicole but she questioned him

"You think he was drawn to me the same way you where when I first started hanging out with yawl?" As she was talking she started to get a little worried

"Are you planning on using me as bait?" Her saying that made Rick surprised as he answered her

"What? no, Nicole you know me I would NEVER put you in any type danger that could get you hurt." Nicole didn't know if you could believe him or not and he knew what he was thinking and it showed in the look she was giving Rick that made him cave

"There was something else...I found in your mind. Apparently he had downloaded a part hos mind into your mind." Nicole was shocked hearing that and didn't believe it but he continued talking to her

" Over two decades, that became a part of you. If he's destroyed you become basically brain dead." Of course Nicole was very worried but at the same time things started making sense about her mega high intelligence that was a little close to Ricks, then something else was on Nicole's mind.

"My niece Iris?" Rick knew why she brought up her eldest niece, he was fully aware that she was basically a small version of her and even looked a lot like her as well. Rick had also did another ice breaker with Nicole, he was curious about Iris when he first met the version of her upon entering the new timeline and to Nicole's shock the Iris from the timeline they where wasn't from the timeline but rather a portal traveler just like Nicole was from her original timeline which was the timeline Nicole was in making her the real niece she knew.

"Iris is a portal traveler..then that means?"

"Rick Prime already knows about Iris, from what I saw in my reading looks like she's been in this timeline for three years . She was switched just like you where." Him saying that made Nicole worried

"Do you think he got in her mind just like he did with me?"

"Only one way to find out?" Where Rick's words to Nicole..........
