Stuck in the Future

"Doctor! They are here?" A nurse said running into the nursery where the newborn mobians were being kept, the Doctor looked down at the tiny one year old kitten, who was wearing a yellow onesie, she was the first kiton to be born prematurely, and make a full recovery, with no problems...beside being tinier than actual mobian kitten. The Doctor smiles and wheels the basinet out of the room and into the hospital room where the Royal Couple were, with the paperwork. Sonic is wearing a white long sleeved t-shirt with a black tank top over the t-shirt, a black plaid waist high skirt, thigh-high stockings, and black sneakers. "Here she is, your Majesties" the doctor said, Sonic's eyes lit up, before she gently scoops the kiton up. "She's perfect~"

Ember looked up at Sonic, the one year old only purrs holding onto Sonic's finger, "Hi Sweetie, I'm going to be your new Mommy~" she said to the newborn.

"Her Birth Mother, wanted me to give you two theses...they are books, with messages from her in there...most Moms aren't as understanding but she seems to be the only exception" The Doctor said hand over the bag.

"Thank you, we do plan of giving her the life that her birth mother would want her to have" Silver smiles, he rubs Ember's little head with his finger, making the kitten purr, she already adjusting to Sonic and Silver.

The media was a bit overwhelming for the kitten, to the point that she got fussy but with Sonic keeping her to look at only her the newborn sniffles and calms down, when the three made it out of the crowd into the carriage, a sigh of relief escaped the two married couple. "The Media is going to need sometime getting use to"

"Well besides my Dads, we are probably the first Royalty Couple to have adopted a commoner" Silver said, as he goes through the bag of baby stuff they brought with them.

"Meh...she's a Princess to me, and I'm going to make sure she has the best life" Sonic purrs nuzzling Ember softly making the kitten giggle, and purr, her belly being really sensitive.

When they arrive at their destination, Sonic puts the backpack on, while Silver was getting Ember adjusted into her baby carrier, despite her fussing about wanting to be held but when she saw the cute bunnies on the buckles she calmed down.

Silver was using his telekinesis, hold the baby carrier to help Sonic zip up the little backpack. "Thank you...Silvy" Sonic give him a small kiss on the cheek.

"No problem, now come on...you know how much my Father hates waiting" Silver said, talking about Scourge, Sonic only chuckles. He took her husband's hand.

Ember was just purring and wiggling around in her baby carrier, the cyan aura was pretty to eyes, and was kind of calming to her too.

"She looks rather healthy, for be a premature baby?" Shadow said looking at Ember, who was out of the baby carrier, enjoying Scourge's company...well mostly his shades that she found interesting and ripped them off of his forehead to hold them.

"The doctor said, Her mother was very skinny to the point that they had to put her into labor to save her and Ember's life...so she was born seven months in" Sonic said.

The rest of the day with the Kings was rather calm, Sonic managed to get pictures for her parents back at home, Ember was sucking on Shadow's inhibitor rings, wearing Scourge's shades. The little princess was right at home.

Sonic was holding Ember in her arms, the kitten was fast asleep sucking on her thumb, she tired herself out from hanging out with her new grandparents, Silver opened the door for Sonic. "Want me to take her bed?" Silver offered.

"Yeah" Sonic said gently passing the sleeping kitten over. She takes the backpack off setting in by the door, with her shoes.

Silver lays Ember down in the crib, giving her a bunny stuff toy that was huge compared to the kitten, he smiles as he pulls the gate up, turning on the baby monitor, and walking out of the room leaving the door opened a little bit.

Sonic was just having a small drink of water, sitting at the bar in the kitchen. "I think she's going li-Sonic?"

Sonic sniffs as she was reading the messages in the books, "S-Sorry...Haley here...really didn't want to give her up, but seeing how bad her situation was she didn't have a choice"

Silver smiles and going over to Sonic, and wiping her tears away with his thumb "It just means that we have to give Ember the life that Haley would have wanted her to have"

"No matter what...even if we are able to have a kid of our own" Sonic smiled back and snuggles into Silver.

"Right" He kisses her ear.
