**1 year later **
<JAY'S POV>
It's a year later and Erin and I are still together. I love her so much! And I fall more in love with her everyday. Today I am going to ask Erin to marry me and I am going to do it in front of the whole unit because I want everyone to know!! The only thing I am worried about is that I have to talk to Voight first because I would love to have his blessing. Later today I am going to talk to him.
**later that day**
<JAY'S POV>
Everyone had left the district to go home and it was just me and Voight. I told Erin that I was going to stay behind and catch up on some paperwork, when I really wanted to talk to Voight. I got up and walked into his office and sat down.
<VOIGHT'S POV>
Jay just walked into my office and sat down. I kinda questioned it but them he started talking so I just listened. Erin and I have been together for the past year and I really love her and I want to ask her to marry me tomorrow jay said. I just sat there and looked at jay and thought about what I was going to say. Yes I am mad that they have been sneaking behind my back, but yet I am happy because she needs a man like jay. Who will not leave her or hurt her. I looked at jay and said if give yall my blessing, you have to promise me that you will always love her and that you will never hurt her. I would never hurt her and I would never do anything to ruin what we have Jay said. Okay then you have my blessing to ask Erin to marry you. Thank you so much sir. I would like to ask her tomorrow her at the district in front of everyone Jay said. I guess that it will be okay, I just want to se Erin happy.
** the next day**
<JAYS POV>
Today I am going to ask Erin to marry me!! I am so happy but yet so worried and I don't know why. I love her and she loves me!!
<ERINS POV>
I woke up with morning to jay laying next to like always, but today felt different and I really don't know why. I love him so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. It was time to wake up for work and Jay wasn't awake yet so I started to kiss Jay to wake him up. At first he didn't kiss back because he was still asleep but then he stated to kiss back and I was super super passionate. We both got up and got ready for work. When we got to work Jay started acting weird, he wouldn't look at me, he wouldn't talk to me.
<JAYS POV>
When we got to the district I guess I started acting weird because any minute I was going to ask Erin to married me and I was really nervous but yet very happy. I finally got up and went over to Erin, I took her hand and brought her to the center of the room and I started the speech. Erin my dear I love you so much and when you came into my life I instantly fell in love with you and new that I had to make you mine. I don't know what I would to without you. You are there whenever I am sick or injured or just need a hug and you always take care of me and I will always take care of you whenever you are sick or injured or just want to cuddle. So with that Erin Lindsay will you marry me?? I said as I got down on one knee and at this point everyone in the whole district was upstairs and staring at us.
<ERINS POV>
Jay got up and came and took me to the center of the room. I started wondering what he was doing, but then he started the speech. By time i new it Jay was getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him. Tears started to run down my checks and they just kept coming and coming. I shook my head and Jay slid the ring on my finger and everyone started to clap and cheer. I didn't even notice that the whole district was now upstairs and watching. Jay stood back up and kissed me and the kid was super passionate and deep. When I turned around I say Voight standing behind me and it looked like he was going to start crying. I walked up and gave him a hug and asked him if he let Jay do this, he said yes and I started to cry and again. Voight gave me another hug and then he said that I should go and be with my fiancé. I did so, I turned around and walked right up to Jay and took his hands and looked in his eyes and said. Jay halstead I love you to the moon and back. Erin Lindsay I love you to the moon and back also!
<JAYS POV>
Erin said yes!! This is the best day every other than meeting Erin. I love her to the moon and back. I hugged her and I never wanted to let go, I just wanted to stand there and hold her.
