As a small obedient child bani kept her eyes closed and tried bordering her excitement while she was being lifted up by her husband, who walked out of the cottage.
Veer moved out and haulted in the now-dark backyard and made bani back on her feet.
"You can open your eyes sweetheart" veer whispered near Bani's ear and slipped away silently while Bani opened her eyes with a smile.
Soon enough, a frown adorned her face as all she welcomed was darkness ! She looked back and saw none behind. Her frown deepened as she saw herself alone amidst the young night.
"Veer ?" Bani called out slowly as she gazed the place with a sigh. Deep inside , the intelligent part of her brain understood it might be the part of his plan but the emotional part got tensed up.
As she kept glancing the place, a loud recorded count down was heard and bani smiled automatically. The moment the count down struck one, she felt a strong arm around her waist and Bani knew who it was, Veer !
"Happy anniversary, sweetheart!" Veer said and the very moment the whole place got lighted up as the fairy lights which were hung above the place flickered on, upon the remote click by veer.

Bani gazed the lighted up surrounding, awestruck. The ground was decorated beautifully with candles which had flames that looked real , even though they emitted light through batteries and in the middle of the whole setting , a large wreath like table was set up, which had pink and peach roses clipped around at places with a cake on its middle portion.
"Thank you veer .. & Happy wedding anniversary dear !" bani whispered, getting slight tears of joy in her eyes as she leaned back onto her husband's chest.
Veer smiled and pulled her gently towards the center getting her palm in his. He lovingly gazed his wife before pulling out a velvet box from one corner of the wreath and held it infront of bani. She looked at veer and then at the box and with a slight smile of disbelief , got the box in her hand and opened it, only to gaze veer with wide eyes.
