Ranboo was aware of a few things. Like the fact that they miss their moms. And their friends. And their siblings. And the fact that everything hurts. They were aware of people in the room, talking to each other in a language they couldn't understand. They were aware that when they tried to open their eyes, they stayed firmly shut.
They desperately wanted to find out who was there, and maybe they could get them to tell them where their friend was. They couldn't though. And they knew this.
They wished it was different though. Who wouldn't? They knew Tommy was long gone, in a better place hopefully. They knew the chances that the one with the black wings and the one who looked like a boar were probably just as bad as the aliens that had them before. They knew they would never see their moms again. Or Tommy. Or Tubbo. Or Michael or Rose or Edward or anyone.
They just wanted to go home.

The terran with the black and white fur was stirring. Technoblade didn't know if they were awake or just having bad dreams, but he'd probably have to talk to them sooner or later. That's why he was nervously pacing around the medbay while Phil was trying to figure out which terran language these kids spoke so they could put it into their translators.
"Techno calm down please, the kids are going to be okay. Just breathe, alright?" Phil said, placing a hand on Techno's shoulder.
Techno stopped pacing and looked at Phil, "Are you sure? They don't look very alright."
"Techno relax. I think the black and white one is waking up, maybe they can help with the translator thing."
The black and white one did look like they were waking up, rubbing their eyes and staring at Techno and Phil, mouth agape.
They said something in their own language, Phil perking up as he recognized the sound.
"Techno, that was one of the languages! Inglash I think it was called." Phil typed furiously at the holopad, clicking on something and taking out his translator for a second to add the new language, beckoning for Techno to do his own.
He grabbed the spare translator he prepared and added Inglash to it as well, holding it out for the kid to take, which they did, however hesitantly. Techno put his own on, Phil doing the same, the kid copying them. Phil looked at the kid and smiled before asking:
"Hey mate, how are you?"

You'd expect to be shocked after talking to an alien for the first time, maybe you'd feel triumphant, or scared, but honestly, all Ranboo felt was worry for their friend.
"Uhm, d-do you know what h-happened to the other person with me? I- I need to see him." They said, internally cringing at the shakiness in their voice. They needed to be strong in case the others couldn't.
"Are you talking about the other terran? The one with blonde hair?" The bird one asked, and Ranboo shakily nodded, before realising they might not know what that meant so they answered with a quiet "yes."
"They're still asleep, but you can see them if you'd like." The bird one said, "We should have a proper introduction first though, my name's Philza, or just Phil, and that one's Technoblade."
"I'm Ranboo. My friend is Tommy." Ranboo said, nervously wringing their hands together. "Can I maybe see him now?"
"Of course, mate, he's just in the next room, do you think you can walk?"
Ranboo nodded before answering with a quiet "Yes." again, climbing off the cot and following Philza out of the medbay and into a more comfortable-looking room. The room had a few soft-looking beds in nooks in the walls, the rest of the floor space had a few chairs and a small table, obviously it was a bedroom of some sort.
"Why is he in here but I was in the other room?" Ranboo asked, a questioning look on their face.
"'Cause this door has a lock on it." Technoblade said, standing in between Phil and Ranboo protectively.
"Why does it need a lock!? Is there something dangerous I should be worried about!?" Ranboo said, shaking slightly.
"The only dangerous thing on this ship is him!" Technoblade said defensively. "He attacked Phil!"
"Techno, please don't shout at them, they're just worried about their friend," Philza said, placing a hand on Technoblade's arm.
"I'm worried about you!" Technoblade said, throwing out his arms.
Ranboo had backed up to the far wall, feeling as if they shouldn't be there.
"Ran?"
They turned around to look at the shaking boy with his hands over his ears, tears streaming down his face and dark purple bruises all over his arms. Ranboo immediately climbed into the nook where Tommy was sitting and opened their arms, Tommy falling into them and clinging to Ranboo's shirt.
"Hey, it's okay Solis, I'm here now, I won't let them touch you, I promise." Ranboo whispered, burying their face in Tommy's soft, golden curls. "Can you tell me how you got the bruises on your arms? You don't have to if you don't want to."
"The, uhm, the pig one grabbed me, 'cause the bird one touched me and I didn't know it was gonna touch me so I, uhm, I hit it," Tommy sniffled, sinking deeper into Ranboo's embrace. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it, it just happened."
"I won't let them touch you, it's okay." Tommy's breathing had evened out and his grip on Ranboo's shirt had loosened.
"Having a panic attack is not very poggers," Tommy says, smiling softly when that gets a giggle out of Ranboo. The aliens had left them, letting them have their reunion. "Do you think the aliens are gonna take us back to earth? Or are they gonna be like those smiley fucks from the last ship?"
"I'm not sure, hopefully the first one, the bird one, he said his name was Philza, seems pretty nice." Ranboo says, planting a kiss on the crown of Tommy's head.
"D'you think we'll see Tubbo again?"
"I don't know, hopefully."
"Hopefully."
—---------------------------------
Tubbo had barely slept in weeks, months, even. The only reason he doesn't just pass out from exhaustion is Tommy's dad, Sam, and Ranboo's mums, always coming over to check in on him and reassuring both themselves and him that the police will find something soon, that all is not lost.
All was lost though. Tommy and Ranboo haven't been seen since they were driving to school on October 12th, it was now November 23rd. They've been gone for over a month, a month with no bad dick jokes, no light-hearted murder threats, no split-dyed hair falling over their eyes as they leaned down to tap foreheads with Tubbo, no Lleuad, no blonde hair threaded through his fingers as they talked about nothing, no Solis.
He couldn't keep going like this.
They were the sun and the moon to his planet, the stars in his sky, the warm breeze on summer days, the cool wind on winter nights.
He missed them so fucking much.
