Today was Nevermore's Outreach day. Students go to Jericho to do some 'outreaching'

"All students are to report to their volunteer jobs at 10am sharp, followed by a community lunch at 1. As you know, this year outreach day culminates in a very special event; the dedication of a new memorial statue in town square which will also include performances by Nevermore students!" Headmaster Weems makes a speech about Jericho.

We are given post for the assignment. I was given the the Weathervane, Wednesday was given Uriah's Heap while Enid was given Pilgrim World.

"Ew, that's this weird creepy antique store. You'll love it though! I'm crossing my claws Ajax and I will be outreaching together.." Enid looks across the yard at a distracted Ajax, sighing softly as she makes lovesick eyes at him.

"I'm sure he will." I encourage Enid.

This was the first time i've been out of Nevermore and I really want to explore this town.

"Come on Cerise, I wanna get a good seat." Enid pulled me along towards the town square. But as I'm being dragged away, I noticed Wednesday walking what looks like Xavier.

I just wondered why Wednesday was friendly with Xavier all of a sudden. I just shrugged it off, their friends like me and him right?

After wandering around the place for a couple of minutes, trying to find the coffee shop. After what felt like hours, I finally spotted it in a corner and it looks nearly empty inside.

Stepping inside, the doorbells jingle and the barista from behind the counter looks up and noticed me.

"Hi. I'm Tyler, you must be here for outreach day."

"Yes I am, name's Cerise. I'm one of Wednesday's roommates."

"Ok, cool. Well, I'll get your apron and show you what you can do around here." He tells me with a smile.

Standing near the counter for a while, I anxiously stood there. As Tyler comes back from the storage closet, apron in hand, the doorbell ring, catching both our attention.

Just then Xavier walked in and spotted me. His face lights up when we locked eyes but faded when he looked at who was beside me.

"You're here for outreach day too?" I'll get another apron, here." Tyler hands me my apron, leaving me alone as Xavier walks up to me.

"You alright? You upset." I ask in concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just don't really like this place." He looks around the coffee shop distractedly.

"This place looks cozy, I would come back here again." I looked around the small coffee shop, looks so cozy and comfortable.

Xavier smiles back down at me and the same feeling in my stomach flares up again.

The next couple of were spent wiping tables, packing inventory and learning how to do cool latte art.

Lunch has just finished and I noticed a familiar pigtailed girl coming in and heading straight towards the bulletin board to look for something.

"I though you were supposed to be Pilgrim World?" I asked her slightly confused as she approached me.

"I deserted it while my sanity was still intact." Wednesday replied.

"Oh yeah? You want a coffee? It's one of the many perks of this wonderful assignment." Xavier asks her, leaning against the counter as she stares at him.

"I'm actually here for Tyler." She tells him secretively and the look of anger and jealousy flashes in his eyes.

What's going on? Are they together or something? Does he like Wednesday?

I just gave a smile to both Wednesday and Xavier.

"I told you he was bad news.." Xavier lowers his voice slightly

"Twice, but who I speak to is my business." Wednesday bit back.

I just slowly moved away from the tension between the two of them.

I just untie my apron, left it on the counter before leaving.

Xavier likes Wednesday.

It's clear, Wednesday is cool, and Xavier is cool. Their perfect for each other.

I just went to find Enid and head to the assembly as it's almost time.
