Chapter 1 yaaaay! Before you ask, yes this story is a little bit cliche, so I thought I should warn you straight away! (Julia's POV)

Wow. I think that was the hardest competition I've done yet. But it was totally worth it, now the whole summer of pure bliss for me, yay!

Let me explain a little bit about myself... My name is Julia, I'm 16 years old and I'm Polish, I lived in Australia for most of my life, but when I was 13, me and my mum moved to the UK. Well more like ran away. You see, my dad was abusive towards both of us, and he drank a lot. My parents divorced still in Australia, and we even had a restraining order put on him... Even that didn't stop him from trying to get to us. So we ran away... The one person who meant the most (well, maybe second-most) never found out the full story, and that person was Calum Hood. Yes, the Calum Hood from 5 Seconds Of Summer. I miss him like crazy, he was my best friend back in Australia, but I was scared he would hate me for not telling him... Anyway, I am a gymnastics fanatic, and pretty good if I say so myself. I dedicate all my time to gymnastics, and I'm always at competitions. I also love singing, but only 2 people know about that: Calum and Mum. My mum is a band manager in Syco. Yeah, I know, it's crazy. And yes we do have quite a lot of money. She's finding out who the new band that she has to manage are today, so it should be interesting. I get to meet them too, because mum is bringing them home. They might even move in with us for a bit!

I just left the locker room of the arena, dressed in fresh, cute clothes and texted my best friend Nicole.

"Hay girl! I just left, I'll be there in 10, be ready my bitch ;) xo"

About a minute later, my iPhone bleeped, showing Nicole had answered.

"You stupid?! I am all set to go! Hurry yo ass up and get over here!"

I hopped onto my bike, shoving my sports bag in the attached boot thing. I decided on taking Nicole with me, as she wanted to meet the new band as much as I did, plus she was basically my sister, we knew everything about each other. I've known Nicole ever since I moved to England, when we started the same school, specialising in sports. Nicole is absolutely gorgeous, I've always been jealous of how pretty she is. She is 16 too, and she has super long, beautiful chocolate brown hair, and piercing blue eyes, with a perfect figure. Everybody says we look like sisters, but I disagree, I mean, she's beautiful and I'm just... me.

I rode off, taking all my usual shortcuts and arrived at Nicole's house in about 5 minutes. I knew I didn't have to ask if I could come, I mean I had my own keys to the house because I spent pretty much half my time here! I got my key out, stepped through the door, and screamed, "HONEY I'M HOOOOOOME!" Then I noticed Amanda, Nicole's mum, reading a paper on a sofa in the round living room ahead of me. "Oh hi Amanda, didn't see you there!"

She chuckled, "Like always..." She winked at me, then stood up and gave me a huge hug. I smiled, this is why I love her, she's a hugger, just like me. She was probably the coolest mum ever.

"Nicole!! Get your arse down, Julia's here!" She yelled up the stairs.

"Jesus christ no need to yell!" Nicole screamed back. I laughed, I really do love this family. Next thing I knew, Nicole was running down the stairs, looking amazing as usual.

"Come on Julia! We have to get you ready for that band!" And so the preparations begin.
