The Heart Fluttering Confession (3.1)

It was a breezy and sunlit morning one day when the Queen suddenly organized for a mini tea party to celebrate the 10th birthday of the King's youngest son Hodong gun..... Well actually it was more of a family reunion, using the birthday of the youngest prince as an excuse for all the members of the royal household to gather.

It had been a long time since the palace was this peaceful and in order to cheer the king up a bit after his duties. The queen had decided that today was the perfect day for that.

All the grand princes, princes, their respective wives and all the women of the imperial household were expected to attend since it was a sign of respect to the Queen as host herself. 

The king was due to arrive together with the queen last since it was common courtesy that the king always had to be the last to arrive. Hence everyone should gather early to be able to greet the king when he arrives.

But with permission from both the king and queen, the Crown Prince had sent a notice earlier that he along with the Crown Princess would be a bit late due to their appointment with the royal physician that afternoon.

At this point, Crown Princess CheongHa was already 7 months into her pregnancy, wanting his wife's health to be checked and monitored well as she carries their precious shared life and love inside of her. Crown Prince SeongNam had been the best husband that any woman could have asked for. He was attentive, loving and caring.... He even made time for her despite being tangled by his busy duties every single time she had needed him.

Everyone knew just how smitten the charismatic prince was to his young wife.

Even in the distance, you could just see how his gaze dripped with sweet honey every time she smiled, spoke or did a little gesture that he thought was lovely or adorable.

Even the other prince's couldn't believe that the once cold and icy Seongnam was actually capable of smiling and being so affectionate with anyone.

To be completely honest, it wasn't really that common to have the crown prince himself accompany his wife in such consultations but knowing just how similar the crown prince is to his mother.... you could have already expected how much he wanted to be a good husband and father to his wife and baby. 

Inside DongGungJeon (East Palace) also known as the Crown Prince's Palace, SeongNam had ordered for the royal physician to go there instead since he had insisted that CheongHa stay with him there for the time being. He wanted her to be at close proximity, so that he could personally take care of her and be with her every time she needed him. 

'Reporting to seja jeoha and binggung mama, fortunately I did not notice anything harmful or to be worried about whilst checking on binggung mama's pulse. The baby seems to be very healthy, however I would still advice binggung mama to refrain from doing strenuous activities and to take the herbal tonics we have recommended daily.'

Nodding at the royal physician, CheongHa smiles and thanks him with her soft and gentle voice.

'Thank you again Royal Physician Song, thanks to your tonics I have been doing very well. I will surely follow your advices and see you again after a few weeks for our next consultation.'

Continuing for his wife, SeongNam turns to the royal physician and nods as he spoke in his 'charismatic crown prince' voice. 

'You have done great, sugohaetnae Physician Song. I trust that you will take good care of binggung more in the upcoming months. You may go now.'

After performing their final bows to the royal couple, all the nurses and physicians leave the crown prince's quarters after performing their duties. SeongNam smiles at his wife as he stretches his hand out and spoke.

'Now... I think we have been late for too long now. Before eomamama gets suspicious of us, let us go to the tea party that she has organized. Although I've asked permission from appamamama to be a bit late, they will still be waiting for us before starting the main course.'

CheongHa chuckles as she nods in agreement with her husband. Taking his hands, the crown princess is carefully helped up by her husband from the soft and preciously embroidered silk bed and with her gentle but bright voice she replies with a slight tease.

'Yes, they might think that you are purposely using me as an excuse to avoid meeting your brothers.... We wouldn't want the king to think that the oh so great crown prince hates to be even in the same room as the daeguns aren't I right seja jeoha?' 

Smirking at his wife, the crown prince chuckles and replied with a fake joking strict voice. He was quite the joker as CheongHa had recently learned, he was also quite easy going.... Always the one to play with her go with her childish antics. 

'O-ho!!! What do you mean I hate meeting my brothers ? How could I hate them... I just get annoyed at their crazy and childish antics whenever they see or meet me.' 

Giggling at her husband's pouty face, CheongHa smiles and cups Kang's face with both her hands slightly startling him.

'Jeoha.... Don't worry too much and don't be too angry at the daegun mama deul. They just love you very much and miss you, most of them have started living outside the palace hence it is very normal for them to want to play and spend time with you whenever they see you... Just think about how I also do that to you....'

Confused at what she was trying to say, Kang gazes down at his crown princess and finds her looking at him with a gentle and affectionate gaze. He soon finds himself blushing up as she continued pouring out her feelings and showered him with her affectionate actions.

Not one to be shy of expressing her feelings, CheongHa smiles and strokes SeongNam's cheeks whilst continuing what she was saying earlier. 

'Aren't I also childish most of the time... but you just choose to play and go along with it. I'm just saying jeoha..... that I appreciate you and also care for you. And just like the daeguns, I also love you.... very much but of course romantically.'

Definitely turning into a human tomato at that point, Crown Prince SeongNam's eyes widen and even before he could reply or say anything further. CheongHa suddenly leaps forward and pecks him on his cheeks.
