Based on the drama 'Under The Queen's Umbrella'
This is a little reimagined one shot book of scenes set either inside the drama's timeline or in the future.
Author's note :
'Under The Queen's Umbrella' characters do...
'Ilyeong daegun... I've been looking for you all these days. I think you have something that belongs to me that you'd ought to return in 3 days right? It's already the 7th day and yet I find you here out of all places in the binggung's quarters.'
Knowing that their brother was about to go on his beast mode on him. Grand Prince Ilyeong being the smarty pants that he is, quickly jumped up from the floor cushion that he was sitting on and literally hid himself behind his sister in law who just looked confused.
'Hyungnim... This is a huge misunderstanding, I can explain it to you hence please do not look at me as if your about to kill me.'
SeongNam wasn't about to play any childish games with his brother/s. He knew what they were up to, he had heard all their conversations exactly 10 minutes ago but had ordered the court lady outside to not announce his presence yet to basically have a reason to 'kill' his brothers.
As he came closer to the group, all the princes started to stand up on their own and also hide themselves behind the flustered crown princess.
Being a half angry brothers and half caring husband at the same time, Kang gently beckoned for his wife to quickly get out of his brothers' hold and join him.
'Binggung.... You should come here beside me and stay away a bit. I will have to teach my brothers a bit of a lesson hence I apologize on their behalf for coming to disturb your peace.'
But even before the crown princess could say anything or even move an inch. Grand Princes Ilyeong and GyeSeong suddenly wrap their arms around each of her arm basically making her their hostage/ shield.
And that was the biggest mistake the brothers could have made. They could see the glint in their older brother's eyes change as he spots their actions.
But still having a conscious mind of protecting his image towards his wife, the crown prince grits his teeth and endures the boiling anger/ annoyance. (well actually.... jealousy🤣)
Instead, he squeezes his own hands and spoke in his signature cold and icy voice and with a glare, he basically had the upperhand against his brothers.
'From now on, you should all refrain from visiting binggung... Should I be the one to repeat it. She is currently pregnant with our child. I'm afraid having all of you around all the time will tire her out.
Now, in 5 seconds I better not see any of you left in here once I open my eyes or else... '
After that simple warning, the princes all rush off without one word. Leaving the crown princess chuckling as she invited her husband to sit right beside her.
'I'm fine jeoha.... Having the princes around is actually quite fun. They're all sweet and funny in their own ways that I enjoy conversing with them. They make my day much livelier and I gain energy from them'
Pouting at her statement, SeongNam nods and sighs as he spoke in a half teasing and upset tone of voice.
'Ah... Considering binggung likes the princes so much. Should I just leave and tell them to come back?'
Realizing the meaning behind his reply, CheongHa's ears perk up and her lips quickly form into the prettiest smile.
Hesitant, but never the one to not ask a question when she's curious, the crown princess tilts her head adorably and continues.
'Jeoha.... Are you perhaps j-jealous?.... Of me meeting and enjoying the company of your brothers?'
Flustered at her bold question, SeongNam coughs and waves his hand as he tried his best to deny her accusation... But yet again, in the end his actions and reactions gave him away.
Eventually, CheongHa smiles as she reaches for her husband's hands.
Gently holding both his hands. The crown princess suddenly guides him to her slightly bulging stomach.
And with her adorable voice, she spoke in a joking manner.
'What should your eomamama do now aga (baby)? Your appamama seems to be quite the jealous type, when he knows my heart only beats for him right?'
SeongNam had already cooled off in an instant, it was in their most private moments that he cherished and enjoyed reminiscing everytime he was exhausted and facing challenges.
But yet again with his soft and gentle tone, the crown prince denies her accusation and finally spoke his mind.
'Again, I'm not jealous... Just a bit upset since you seem to get along with my brothers better.'
And yet again, CheongHa once again proves how she is really the free-spirited woman who daringly rushed her way into the once cold and icy prince's heart.
Leaping up from her seat carefully, she plants a peck on her husband's cheek... Basically leaving him frozen from happiness, embarrassment and also being very very flustered.
'Jeoha should rest your worries because I am your binggung.... Even if the world were to fall apart. My heart will only be yours. I hope you never doubt that.... Hence, can you please forgive me now and come read a poem for me again before I go sleep?'
Pouting at her husband whilst displaying her full on aegyo power, she just knew how to melt SeongNam every single time.
Smiling like a lovesick puppy, Kang forgets everything immediately and nods like a little kid who got his favorite toy on Christmas.
If his brothers were only here... They would probably tell him how much he looks like a fool.
As the crown princess stood up, she gently dragged her husband by the hands and guided him to the mattress where she would be sleeping. And with his hands still touching the place where she pecked him, he just smiled like a fool and blushed as his wife prepared for her sleep.
And at the end of this story, we realized then how correct the princes all are in the end.
He was really a lovesick puppy who only had eyes for his wife.... That's a catch right there, CheongHa yah!!!

I tried my best to think of how to show the friendship between the brother in laws and CheongHa plus some little adorable Jealousy from Kang there.
