CHAPTER 2 2nd anniversary

2nd anniversary

Zane Pov

FIRST DAY

"Zane?" While waiting for my friends outside the gate, Edward shouted as he approached me. The air was so chilly that my hands were beginning to tingle. For the first few hours of the first day, I was carrying my phone and texting them. The sight of my lover kai made me forget that I hadn't brushed my hair before leaving the house. My best buddy Edward was the only one who knew we were dating, so when kai murmured "hi" at me, I just nodded and stared at him for a moment until lucy and my band member came.

I was aware of Lucy's alleged liking for me, according to some of our friends.

I'm simply gonna leave it at that, even though I know it was a ridiculous rumor they created.

I caught occasional glances of Kai as we strolled and chatted our way to the school gate, but he never once returned my gaze. More importantly, he kept talking to my bandmates, making me wonder if he had forgotten. As I stood by, Edward questioned me about my two-year anniversary with kai, asking whether kai was sure wanted to celebrate it or not.

"Had he forgotten?"

"No, he texted me this morning....we're going to celebrate" I made the whole thing, he never sent any text to me, though it's perhaps he apparently forgot.

Kai's question came out of the blue "what are you looking at?"agitated kai. His expression becomes suddenly furious. Knowing this face, I read jealousy, but I also felt terrible for the person he asked because he was incredibly distraught by the question. Kai was a jerk, yet despite this, I'm still kind of in love with him. Even so, I'd go crazy without him.

We kept walking, eventually arriving at our meeting place. We just waited a few minutes before heading up to our rooms, during which time we may have shared stories about our holiday, as well as constantly talked about the other people and their romantic exploits.

In fact, I didn't go off that easy, unlike them, I had to learn about my mother's business even when I had no interest in doing so.

For those two months, I fought my mother's instructions and stayed at home unless absolutely necessary. My sister, meanwhile, had no trouble wasting time with her friends whenever she go.

"Zane? what are you up to tonight?" My friend in the band wants to know whether we can perform in the bar tonight. when I literally accept their invites to play in the bar, In an instant, I shared Edward's perplexed expression and said, "why is that?" He murmured something about how I'd forgotten to mention recently that I'm going to be celebrating my anniversary with Kai.

"Aren't you and Kai having an anniversary celebration?"

"Are you lying again?"

He said, "What's the matter?" Not only did I fail to remember, but when asked about it later, I made up an excuse.

"I'm pretty sure he forgot about that," I mumbled softly, and Edward gave me a pitying gaze. Although Kai isn't worth anything, Edward keeps asking me to end our relationship. But I can't help but be smitten by him, between his lovely mannerisms and the seductive way he speaks, I find myself easily swayed.

"But it's fine, I'll just talk to him"

"Okay?!" He says, "It's never been okay with you two anyway," but he doesn't show his displeasure because he doesn't want my feelings for Kai to change.

"Hey, don't be upset about it, I'm the one who's in love with him, so I know what I need to do with him." I chuckled

"Okay, but If this is the last time he hurts your feelings, I'll say nothing, but if he does it again I'm not going to let it go like that." I nod and smile.
