fluff, angst, twisted feelings, slow burn

"I can't believe that my baby brother is getting married before i am" the older of the two chuckled, pressing his hand down on his brothers shoulder, who skeptically eyed himself up and down in the mirror, staring at his reflection in doubt.

The brunette averted his gaze from himself, up to meeting his brothers eyes through the mirror "you know damn well that I don't love her".

"Jeongin, you have to understand what commitment and family means at this age. It's for the best, don't you understand".

The younger turns around, eyes fierce, while Hyunjin looks unbothered "Family? This pathetic people call themselves parents but wouldn't give two shits about what I want... who I love".

The younger's eyes turn darker, sadder the second he thinks about his prospective fate.

The ravenette sighs, trying to shake his brother awake about his responsibilities "Look, I get why you're upset, just try to understand that you're next in line for the company, since I can't take the spot. You must shove your feelings aside for our sake, please Jeongin. It's for the best"

"Yeah" he smiled ironically "just because you're an emotionless asshole, Hyunjin".

With that, he went away, not bothering to let the tailor finish his work.

A few minutes after, he returned in his regular clothes, passing by Hyunjin and ready to leave the way too luxurious suit store.

"Jeongin stop-"

"I promised myself to him. I'm gonna keep it like that" he spoke, without sparing him another glance.

Just  after Jeongin had left, Hyunjin didn't find a reason why he should stay any longer, trying to calm his own nerves down.

He was angered by his brothers immaturity. If he was in the position given, he would do anything to make his father proud and keep what their deceased mother had built and achieved alive. He would never miss a chance to pay her the tribute she deserves, be it such a simple task as taking over the company.

But Jeongin never seemed to take this role seriously. Never did he pay any mind to the company and the work there. Even though he was the manager of several departments, he never seemed to take this as serious as Hyunjin.

But Hyunjin couldn't take over everything, even if he's the eldest, the next hire, his place was now in America, where his dad planned on expiring his business. Hyunjin was chosen to take the lead on the other side of the world, which he of course excepted with honor.

So over all his pride, he came to an agreement with his father and his new partner, that Jeongin will take over the company in Korea.
Hyunjin tried to convince his dad that this role is too high for Jeongin, but his father couldn't possibly let any of Hyunjin's (even) younger siblings take over, who were just teenagers.

Which concluded to the decision, that Jeongin should get married, to appear mature, well-settled and future conscious, especially for business partners.

But oh, they see how well that turned out.

Angered and slightly hurt in his pride, Hyunjin stormed through the entrance of their huge company building, his long hair flying back in the wind he caught.

"Oh Sir! You got a meeting up in 30. And Ms Kim was concerned, you have not been to your office today. There are some papers to sign."
