It's not your fault

Taehyung woke with a bad headache. He had gotten up before and wanted to see Jungkook, but was told that he had to stay lying down. He wasn't sure why. He felt fine. But he listened and laid in the mint green bed all day.

He flipped to his right side since his back ached and saw a piece of paper with a ring on it...which oddly looked like Jungkook's engagement ring.

He hastily snatched both and read the letter.

Dear Taehyung,
You were the one person that showed me what love actually feels like. Before I met you, I didn't know what it felt like to be loved. I can't even describe how grateful I am to have you in my life. You make me so happy and you can always put a smile on my face even when I'm having a tough time. You make my real smile come out. You are my happiness, my person, my home. I would rather leap into your embrace than do this, but I have to. I don't want to start with somebody else, but I have to. I'd rather restart with you a million times. I know you'll hate me when you finish reading this letter, but I hope you learn to accept it and find someone else. I know we've had out ups and downs, but that never stopped me from loving you more and more every day. My love for you grew stronger as each day passed and it will continue even after I'm gone. I'm so attached and in love with you, it's crazy. No one has ever made me feel the way you do, Tae. I'll forever be grateful for you, your love, and your kindness to me. I want you to love someone else like you loved me. Find someone that can make you happy. Someone that won't leave like I am.

I'm sorry
Love, Jungkook

The letter dropped from his hands, falling onto the floor. The ring flew across the room and Taehyung rose from the bed, tearing the IV off of him. It hurt, but he continued out the room and went to Jungkook's.

He stood in the doorway, seeing a male nurse straightening the bed. Jungkook was already gone.

Tears streamed down the man's face. "He left." His voice broke, catching the attention of the nurse who looked at him. "Oh, yes he did. He left with a man." He informed.

"What man?" Taehyung asked in a soft tone. "Uhm, black hair, about six foot tall. Brown eyes." The nurse said and put his hands on his hips.

"Oh, you're Kim Taehyung." He then bowed ninety degrees. "No need to bow." The other mumbled and left, slowly going back to his room.

When he got back in, he found the ring on the floor and stared at it. "Why did you go?" He whispered. "What did I do? I-I'm sorry we c-crashed...is th-that why you left?"

He picked it up and put it on the bedside table, reaching for his clothes that were laying on a chair neatly folded.

...

Back home now, Taehyung saw that all of Jungkook's things were gone. Tears threatened to fall, but he composed himself and looked around more.

He went to the kitchen and saw a sticky note on the fridge and read it. I changed his number. Don't call him -Yugyeom

Yugyeom? He left with Yugyeom? Taehyung crumbled the paper and let out a yell, gripping onto his hair tightly as he did.

"Why did you go?" He sobbed and sank to the floor. "Jungkookie...what did I do? Did I propose too soon?"

He buried his face in his hands and cried. He cried for the rest of the day and fell asleep on the kitchen floor.
