In a large spiral of corpses, within the center was a drop pod with an odd design. The three-pointed legs stand out the most. Inside laid a drone casually sitting on a chair. The drone was a male, he wore a long jacket with a pilot's hat. The yellow-colored drone sat somewhat impatiently for something. If we dive into his mind, we find out that his name is 'N'. Just the letter N. Nothing else.
Apparently, during one of his hunts, he saw something intriguing. It saw like a pair of worker drones loading some type of cargo onto a vehicle. He wished he could've slaughtered them but the sun was already coming up. So he had to leave. Now, the reason N seems so impatiently was because when he reported it to his squad leader, a drone named 'J', she simply scoffed and dismissed the report. N knows that he should investigate further, but what happens if J finds out?
N shakes his head and decides to head out. He exits the pod and releases his wings before taking flight. The night was still young, so he had plenty of time to investigate. It took some time but he was able to make it to where he last saw the drones. He lands on top of one of the many buildings and surveys the area. All he could see were buildings, cars, and snow. Nothing unusual at the moment. But then his eyes glanced over something, tracks. Although, the snow seemed to have almost covered them. N quickly checks it out, he scans the tracks.
Sure enough, they were left behind by a vehicle. But before he could follow them, his scanners picked up another set of tracks. They seemed like boots, but they were way too big for a simple worker drone. Could it be humans? Nah. Couldn't be. They were all wiped out from the core explosion.
N: "Doesn't matter, gotta investigate further!"
He takes off once again, but he didn't notice the other tracks. Which were narrow holes in the snow. As if someone stuck a pole into the snow. Or, a creature with pointy legs was traveling through here. Who knows?

N arrives at the end of the tracks and it leads him to an old facility. But the issue was that the facility was active. The lights at the place were all on.

Our goodest boy finds a nice spot to land and settles down on the ground. The wind and snow whoosh around him as his wings slow his descent. N stands up and looks around. To his left was a parking garage. The lights were on, and there were some vehicles parked in there too. The vehicles seemed to just have their frames. And there were some cannons nearby too. As well as some supplies next to one of the guns.
