The boy sat in the front row with his best friend as the lights dimmed inside of the tent. This isn't his first time being here; a usual hangout spot after school for just her and him, this time is different, it's his best friend's birthday. His best friend smiled holding the boy's cold hand, while he held the buttery salty popcorn in the other. His best friend squealed as the spotlight came on giving the tent a focus on the one spot where a man stands. He looked over to her and saw her eyes focused on the man as if it's a wondrous television show that hasn't aired for years. He smiled at the sight of his friend enjoying the show and squeezed her hand tightly. Soon the man's voice boomed through the tent silencing the cheering audience. The boy and his friend looked at each other smiling wide then back at the show. It was starting, yet they've been there for years on end and it's been one hell of a ride each year at the same circus show. Squealing the girl squeezed the boy's hand another time for excitement and reassurance that she is ready for the show.

Few moments after the show the man, also known as the ringleader, asked for a volunteer. Every year none of the children raised their hand to be a volunteer, thus they were scared, but this year may be different because the girl raised her hand smiling wide and cheerful as the boy stared at his friend in shock. Yet again the girl squeezed the boy's hand giving him a reassuring smile then descended down the stairs to the ringleader.

The boy watched worriedly as the ringleader put his friend in a box. He watched the show happen and saw his friend disappear right before his eyes, moments later the girl appeared right next to him. He smiled wide at his childhood friend then the smile faded just as mayhem corrupted.

Screams filled the dark tent as the boy was being jolted around. The boy looked around the heavily black tent for his friend. He couldn't find her. He looked around more calling for the girl not caring that he's being pushed.

"Yumi!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. Walking, no, stumbling down the stairs. "Yumi!!"

The boy was terrified searching for his friend.

"S-Sora!!" the girl called back. The boy was scared looking around the pitch black tent for his friend. He knew he heard her voice and he was going to find her. No, he never did he kept getting pushed out to the outside world to where he will never have his friend by his side again. "Sora!! Don't leave me!!"

With that he was outside of the tent struggling against the freaking out audience.

"Yumi!! Yumi!!" he wailed. He cried loudly as everyone saw the blood trails of the ringleader crawling out. His eyes widened in shock. "Wh-Where's Yumi?!"

The ringleader laughed a sadistic laugh and died on the hard cold concrete staining it with his crimson color seeping from his body. The boy, Sora, fell down to his knees screaming in agony that he didn't get his friend out in time.
