Chapter 2
I want to get out of this room immediately. My blockmates are like bees, they kept on buzzing. I cannot concentrate on resting my mind. Wala akong tulog.
I left Maurice at my home and left her some notes. She's sleeping when I left at 5AM. Hapon naman gigising 'yon.
"Beh, nalimutan ko about sa placenta separation. Enlighten me please," napatingin ako sa katabi ko. She's closing her eyes trying to remember it.
"Chill, Belle. It's gushing of blood, lengthening of the cord, globular distension of the uterus, and uterus rise in the abdomen," I said to her. She tried to repeat what I said but she still can't memorize it.
"Isulat mo. Huwag ka masyadong magpadala sa kaba. You'll really forget it later if you keep on doing that," I helped her again on remembering the things that we will demonstrate later.
"The other term for globul-"
"Ramirez, Isla Adelaide. Please proceed to the delivery room."
Naputol ang tinuturo ko kay Belle when our clinical instructor called my name.
Shet. Ako na? Hindi pa nga nakalabas ang unang nakapasok.
Okay lang 'yan, Isla Ade, at least maaga kang matatapos.
"Eh? Ba't ako lang?" I am confused kung bakit ako lang ang tinawag. It should be the three of us.
"Individual daw," sabat ng isa kong kaklase.
"Okay, thank you," I said and gave her a flying kiss.
Guide me, please. Amen.
I received good lucks from my classmates kaya nabawasan ang kaba ko ng kaunti.
I picked up the things that I'll need and went to the DR.
I mouthed "congratulations" and she also mouthed "good luck" to me.
Before I entered the DR, I let a deep breath.
Kaya ko 'to.
"A pleasant morning, ma'am!" I greeted them.
I happily got out of the DR because I know I did well.
Sinalubong ako ng mga kaklase ko. I smiled at them.
"Kumusta, Ade? Ginisa ka ba nila? Inihaw? Niluto? Tell us, kabado kami!" binato ako ni Gayle ng mga tanong. Natawa ako.
"Ayos lang. You all reviewed so it will be fine. Hindi naman sila nagtatanong ng sobra. It's more on the action. You can just talk when being asked or you need to announce something so kebs lang. They are not that strict. Just don't show them you're not nervous," I answered them.
"Bakit ang bilis mo?" Pao asked.
"Mabilis ba?" I asked her. Tumawa ako. Magtatanong sana sila muli ngunit dumating ang CI namin at tinawag ang isa kong kaklase.
I went to my seat and fixed my things and also gave Belle some tips.
Now that I'm done with my retdem. I can feel the freeload week.
Nagpaalam ako sa ibang kaklase ko na I'll go out.
Pupunta ako ng Cafeteria and might go to The Nook and sleep there.
When I went to the Caf, wala akong nagustuhan so I decided to order from fast foods online.
Tumungo ako sa entrance ng school to get my food when it will arrive. Parating na rin naman ang food. The place where I've ordered is sa gilid lang naman ng school so siguro tamang-tama ang dating ko sa entrance ay nandoon na ang food ko.
