Chapter 3
"What's with you and Seiji?" ibinaling ko ang tingin ko kay Belle ng tanungin niya ako nito.
"Huh? Sino 'yon?" she looked at me as if I'm telling a joke.
"Duh! Iyong kasama mo sa picture," she said.
"Huh? What picture?" nagtataka ako sa kung ano ang pinagsasabi nitong kasama ko.
"Come on, Ade. Para naman tayong others. Jowable mo na ba 'yon? Jackpot naman, beh!" I'm really confused on what she's blabbering about.
"I really don't know what you're talking about? What picture? Saan galing ang chismis na 'yan," Buong buhay ko iwas ako sa issue tapos ano na naman ang kabuteng susulpot-sulpot na chismis naman ito.
Belle fished out her phone from her pocket and looked for something at ipinakita ito sa akin.
"What the hell," bulalas ko.
It's a picture of me and the guy yesterday at the Highlands. My back is facing the camera so hindi nakikita ang mukha but the face of the guy is seen.
I sighed in relief.
"Hoy, teh! Ano 'yon?" Belle asked.
"I'm just thankful that my face wasn't showing," I said.
"Pero nakilala kita so wala pa ring epek," I rolled my eyes at her.
"Of course you will identify it, nature mong maging detective, e," I went back to my business and continued writing my notes for my exams next week and not minding Belle's presence.
"Ade, I'm hungry. Let's go the booths outside," I felt Belle's hand on my shoulder.
Umiling ako rito. I'm too lazy to walk.
"I have foods here," sabi ko at binuksan ang bag ko to find out that I haven't bring any snacks.
"Shoot," I saw Belle's smile as she pulled me to stand up.
Wala akong gana habang kinakaladkad ni Belle sa kung saan-saan.
Why is there so many booths here? By courses ba ito? Why are we not aware of this? May booth ba kami?
"May booth ba tayo?" I asked Belle. She stopped and looked at me as if I asked the most nonsense question ever.
"Bingi ka ba or what? You were at the student's office noong nag-meeting kami about this, a!" I tried to remember what she's talking about but can't remember anything.
Belle's a student council officer and I am not so I guess that was the time when she asked me to wait for her at isinama sa office nila.
I just shrugged my shoulders and she sighed loudly.
"Okay, we have a booth. It's not a food booth though but a face and body paint booth something like that," pagsuko nito. Face paint?
"Why face and body paint? Isn't it should be something related to our course?" I asked.
"No! We can choose whatever booth we want and what do you think we're going to do? Sell syringes and bandages?" Lol, that was exaggerated.
I just nodded. I'm not really into arguing plus that I am also hungry.
"Let's buy shawarma," hindi na ako nakapag-salita nang hilahin ako nito.
We went to the booth where they sell shawarmas. It's from the HRM department. It has a short line so we got to buy immediately.
"Spicy sauce akin," I said to Belle when she's ordering our food.
"What about our drinks?" Belle asked when we got out of the booth. Most of the booth's were a tent-like-booth.
