Chapter 9

I was just leisurely walking going to the food stall ng makita ako ng professor at nautusan na maghatid ng papers sa science and arts building.

I thought they're here. He said that he's going to their drafting room.

Wait... am I looking for him?

I successfully dropped off the papers to the office and planned to go back to the food stall.

I heard a noise coming from a room kaya binagalan ko ang paglalakad habang palapit ako rito.

I saw a man who's just keeping his eyes on his plates and doing his business while the others are laughing na tila tinutukso ito. And that's where I saw a girl standing in front of his table handing out a drink to him. He doesn't even bother to look at it. It was Seiji.

The girl is pretty and looks like on the same program as them.

Seiji shot a glance at his blockmates and look at the girl and smiled at her. He said something kaso hindi ko narinig.

He doesn't look sick anymore. It's good. Nakuha na ngang lumandi.

Okay, this is enough.

I hope I've walked fast enough for him not see my face.

My phone vibrated. It's Belle.

Belle:
Girl!

"Please, view the file that I sent on the group chat for your case study groupings," Mr. Andres, one of our clinical instructor said at iniwan na rin kami.

"Naknampucha naman, ayaw ko sa kagrupo ko," gigil na bulong ni Belle sa akin kaya napatingin ako kung sino ang kagrupo niya.

"Good luck!" Pabiro kong bulong sa kanya.

"Need lang na may mag-insist to lead sa inyo para mag-work kayo as a group," natama sa kanya yung mga kaklase naming mahina sa acads, they are trying but I guess it's not enough to reach the standard of our nursing school. Baka nga may battery exam kami before ang capping and candle lighting ceremony namin. Pero I'm hoping na sana wala lang kasi everyone has a potential that can't be defined by the end of our exams.

Those classmates of mine has a good grades in their RLE, sayang yung skills nila. They just need to improve their acads.

I'm with the class president and some of her circle. Ika nga ni Belle, their circle is full of plasticity. I don't care naman about them or whatsoever as long as they do their parts on this study.

"After case presentation ay practice na ng capping natin," sabi ni Belle na ikinalingon ko sa kanya.

"Ohhh? Yes! When daw?" natuwa ako sa sinabi niya.

"I heard the proposed sched was on September but it already passed so they changed it to December, before the break," it will be nice if ganyan kasi we will have a rest after the ceremony.

"That would be better! But before that... we need to focus muna sa case study," I said at nagligpit na nang gamit dahil lunch time na.

"Lunch out tayo or dito lang?" bumaling ito sa akin.
