Patroclus and Achilles relationship is a deep bond faulted by the fact that they grew up together. They were said to have a romantic relationship rather than purely platonic.

A sword shushed through the air. Held by a young man with dark hair. He was tall and muscular, his grip on the sword firm, his stance wide. The sword looked as if though it weight as much as the man himself, yet he swung it with ease and elegance. If anyone would have told Tamino, that it looked as if though Liam had never done anything else, he would tell them that they were correct. Liam and Tamino had grown up together. He knew every inch of Liams body, mind and soul. No spot on his body had been left to conservatively cover up. His every fiber, Tamino had seen. His every thought,he had read. His every word, he had heard.

Like his Mother Artemis, Liam had always been a hunter of unrivalled wit. A warrior to the likes of Achilles.

Tamino, the son of the god of silence and observance, Harpocrates, did justice to his fathers expectations. He had stayed silent for most of his life, observing Liam to no end. Everyone who walked across his path, he had analysed. But spoken, had had only with one entire person. Disgracing his parent.

Liam.

His sun, his moon, his air, his heart.

There was not a single thing Tamino had not seen or known about his best friend. His beloved.

He sat on the large steps to the courtyard. Watching his friends every move. How he drew up dust from the floor. His feet fast. It almost seemed like a dance of sorts. A dance of man and blade in entire connection. It seemed like. His fighting style was swift. Quick jabs, fast feet. Evasive of other attacks, always cautious of the enemy. He was, in truth, a badass in the arena. Like his mother, Liam would never be defeated by sword alone. Not even the gods could've fathomed what his mothers legacy had built.

Taminos fighting style was, in the m0st fundamental ways, different. He had not ever been especially keen on fighting. His moves, while calculated, were not particularly strong. He was not the one who would have attacked first. Defense. His one forté. He was not, and would never be a great fighter.

As his friends movements came to a halt, the dust slowly settling, Tamino lifted himself off of the stone stairs. A bit of the dust from his seating stuck to his tunic. He patted the brown dust off his white clothes. He shook his head. No use trying to get that dirt off with his bare hands. 'Did you see me?' Liam asked enthusiastically. In a fast step, he came towards Tamino, it was almost like a slight jog. 'Yes!' Tamino exclaimed 'I did in fact see! You were incredible.'

Together, they walked back to the Parthenon.

They had been equally sent here by their parents. They were happy to go together. Not one of them did dare openly speak of it. But their actions would well those passions read of love. Together till the end. They had promised years ago. 'Say it' Tamino had whispered, laying in the tall grass. 'I will not say something so foolish.' Liam snickered. 'Please, i beg of you, say it' 'I will not.' 'Please, for my peace, do say it.' For a moment Liam paused. Looking intensely at his friends eyes. His pupils darted Taminos. For a second his gaze hardened like he was mad or upset. Then, in an instant, his eyes softened. He let out a defeated sigh, turning to look at the dark sky. He followed the imaginary trail of the stars and finally looked over to his paramour.
'I will always be by your side. Together till the end.' He breathed out 'swear it.' 'I swear it.'

The halls of the Parthenon echoed nothing but their feet. Only the light of the moon could be seen shining through the pillars of solid marble. The reflected the light making it easier to navigate the halls that were build like a maze to the gods. They did not speak as they walked through these empty halls. Until they made a stop a statue. Two wast truck less legs stand tall. On the pedestal, these in carvings read:'I'm Ozzymandias. King of kings. Kneel ye mighty and despair.'

'One day.' Liam began 'That'll be me.'

Tamino looked at his friend with only his eyes. He did not dare move his body away from the statue.

'And I do not know what shall become of us then. I cannot guarantee anything anymore. You have your destiny. I have mine. Our future was never supposed to come. And, in all truth, I think it will never.'

That night, Tamino laid awake in his bed. His mind was racing the thoughts that occurred in all possible way. But what if. He thought. But if. He thought. He thought.

The future was set in stone. He always thought that the future is not something we enter. The future is something we create. But now, that thought seemed so far from the truth. He did not get to decide his future. It was his fathers, not his. It was utterly unfair and trapping. He longed to just run away forever with Liam. Leave their so called destiny behind. Mix with the humans. Run like Achilles and Patruculus ran. Maybe just without the trojan war and with less death.Luckily, Liam was not a hero the likes of Achilles. He would not be called to war. Artemis, Liams mother, was more of a hunter. So, in this case, her fate for Liam was not that bad. His father, Harporcates, was also not a warrior. So, their life would be great. They could live in a small house in the county. Far away from the mount to Olympus, somewhere where not even the moon could find them.

He did not yearn towards staying here. Despite the advantages in life he had, nothing except force would keep him tethered to his title, to his name, to his obligations. He knew there were more people like him. He and Liam simply could not be the only ones. That would not have made sense. Especially looking at how they were raised. Prepared to be the same as their parents? He knew that no deity was immortal. Except for Zeus. He would only die if killed. And realistically, who really could kill the father of all gods himself? Maybe his brothers if they united. Poseidon and Hades were no doubt strong. Although, rumor has it that Hades himself had a son. Would that mean he was not immortal? Did he prepare to get killed? Or was he just tired and wanted to live out his existence with his beloved wife. Tamino wondered what Hades son was like. Was he like Liam and himself or was he totally different? Did he even know of the existence of other people like him. Was that really what life was like for the son of Hades. Was he exactly like his father? He had never met Hades in person. Only the tales of his greatness and wit. A fair ruler.

In the shadow of the night, two souls shall unite in the ultimate glory.
