Chapter 10

Hey guys, another chapter of Professor Arc here. My work situation has not improved as of yet, and in fact might (will) become even worse in the coming weeks. I'll be honest, the company is going to go bust probably in the next two months, and I'll be out of work. Beyond that I'm also now needing surgery on my left wrist due to an old injury not healing properly... Which is obviously going to really mess up my chances at a new job in writing (or a lot of jobs really, but my career in writing is obviously a little borked).

That said! Good news, as many of my readers from One Good Turn will know I have started my own page, which can be found at dot com /Coeur – or you can find the link on my profile (though it will need copy pasting). Before there were worries that my fairly imminent job loss would cause my work to go on a hiatus – perhaps permanently. However, thanks to the support of my patrons that will no longer be the case, and in fact it will be getting FASTER updates. So I hope you'll join me in thanking my patrons for their generous support. The new rule is updates every 28 days, but I've promised for the first month to go a step further in thanks, and do it within 21 days. So expect the next chapter within three weeks! So this Monday (today) is Professor Arc, next Monday is Staffroom Chronicles, and the following will be OGT.

Advice articles and lessons on writing fiction (or fanfiction), BETA services and critique, 1-1 lessons and more. I also have community goals which are tied in with my fanfiction when we reach certain levels, such as updates every 4 weeks (what we're currently on) – updates every 3 weeks (which we're SUPER close to), updates every 2 weeks, etc... Eventually to a dream point where I could retire to be a pure content creator for the full week. And while I'll be using that for original content and such (including my own animation series), I've also promised the community here that I would update my fics even faster, feel free to check the pledges over on .

For those concerned I am trying to commercialise fanfiction, don't worry. It will always remain free on here, and there won't be anything (on ) which you guys won't be receiving free anyway – other than my original work and lessons etc... which belong to me anyway in essence. You won't be "buying" anything copyrighted from my . Nor will you be missing any RWBY action by never even looking at it.

Although considering most of the people on there make fanart and get money for it... I'm not even convinced it would be illegal. Or if it is, it's one of those things developers allow because it bolster the community and keeps the fans active and happy. Kind of like how Marvel or many anime firms allow people at anime/comic-cons to sell fanart – because they know it's kinda not allowed. But it makes the fans love them, and it doesn't really hurt them. It's a weird industry... like if you consider copyright then anyone who even sells cosplay clothing is doing so illegally, as is any abridged series of anime, fanfics, fanart... even Rooster Teeth would be breaching laws when they made RvB... but again, the creators tend to allow it because it certainly didn't HURT Halo as a brand, that RT made so many vids using them... in fact it probably sold loads of Halo games just from that!

So anyway, if you write fanfiction, or want to write your own work feel free to give me a check over on , my account there is new now. But come August will have articles every 2 weeks, and 1-1 lessons will begin. As you (I hope) know I am fairly good at writing, and that is not an innate talent but a learned and trained skill that I can pass on. I have trained not only real-life journalists, but even mentored a dyslexic journalist who now works at the BBC, so I do think I'm fairly good at writing, and teaching.

Alternatively if you do want to support me with your generosity, or just want to see my fanfiction update faster, then that is the way to do it. As always though, this will remain free. People choosing to support me do so out of the kindness of their hearts, though I'll always do my best to repay them however I can. Be that faster chapters, writing advice articles, 1-1 lessons, original work or more. Also looking at getting back into art, comics and illustration – though don't expect super mega quality there lol.
