Onner mritu dehote bosai ami kadi,
nij ghorer lal deep jalite thaki rati.
Orraiche mon pakhira kothai jani,
r ami jachi durai rastai hoche hoirani.
Sathe ache chini lebu madhu loboner chutney,
kachchi onek r o babhchi r o kini.
Mone porche chotobelar din goli,
jokhon dakai bandhura tokhon e giye mili.
Choto hath chotto paa akhon naigo amar,
boro ami chinte mushkil babhchi nij bari sonar.
Dhur mon r deho bolai kono labh nai,
sarati jivan dekhlam somayer sath sokolai bhule jai.
