CHAPTER 004 , blank space

-

THE WALLS WERE COVERED IN CHEAP WALLPAPER, corners of each tormented in dust and ripped parchment, revealing the true pain behind and it was rancid, even for an abandoned building. On the outside, was worse. It seemed as if the whole building was burned down and not actually collapse, just the brick walls covered in what's left of the fire, ashes and when touched, your whole hand is soon covered in the dark dust.

However, the occupied room was much comfy for any visitors. No one owned the particular building itself, no one can reconstruct it better to how it was before even if they invested actual money on it. Hence, the Order sometimes gambles their chances on conducting meetings here, knowing this particular side of town was not known to be an active location for the Order of the Phoenix to be meeting with one another, conducting plans and such. Everyone of significance was present, conversing with their own parties and seperated by each secluded spot in the room.

On another room, Albus Dumbledore was just finishing up the last touches of his honest interrogation with the new members of the Order. The last one was Peter Pettigrew, the poor boy kept fidgeting on the spot and even before he was called upon. He would have ran if it wasn't for James and Remus keeping him in place, telling him that this is the right thing to do and that he already made his decision before tonight. They were just caught off guard that Dumbledore wanted to make it happen right at the moment, unlike what they previously planned with was at the end of the summer.

Lily Evans was always the light in the room to every space she enters, catching attention with her straight red hair and warm smile when she'd catch a familiar face's attention for her to quickly make a beeline for them in order not to make a fool of herself. Fortunately for her, she was the first one to conduct under the influence of Veritaserum and it was ghastly, if speaking frankly but necessary, she knows. All those words she spoke without hesitation was just shocking, really. She didn't even remember the year she first came to Hogwarts until her mouth ran for her.

Faye was talking to Alice by the closed windowsill, curtains drawn in order not for any peering eyes to see, ripped by the end down. She waved her hand, catching Lily's attention who was the first to come in before any of her friends does. Alice notices and makes an excuse to leave them properly be, squeezing Faye's upper arm gently, "They would want to know. It's not about what's good for them anymore, it's what's good for you. You need this, Faye."

Alice was just telling her about how she should be honest of her parentage, specifically her father. She'd caught a whiff that Faye was drawn closer to the new members of the Order than any of them could be, being as it's her own cousin who is friends with them. Alice also knew for a fact that Faye hasn't told anyone ( other than alara ) of who her real father is if it doesn't include her responsibilities in the Order. Everyone who knows who she truly is are those who are important to need know in order to protect her when it comes down to it. But never had she told anyone out of the careness in her heart and she never thought about it in that way, not unlike right now.

"How was it?" Faye asks, her arms folded and sitting on the edge of the windowsill, a little space that was enough for her to lean on casually since she figured it would be a long time before the meeting actually begins.

"Horrible, honest— Relieving?" Lily lists off unsure, making Faye chuckle gently.

"Are you sure you're still not under the spell?"

"It was surprising." Lily finally answers, giving her a look for that recent comment. "I never even knew my sister's second name until I said it. Guess I've forgotten, haven't seen her in a while."
