CHAPTER 005 , lover

-

THE CHARMING LITTLE HOUSE NEAR THE SEA WAS MAJESTIC AND CALM, Faye loved to be here and get away with her entire burdened life just to see her most favorite person in this cruel entire world. Aside from that, the family who had not been nothing but welcoming since the beginning, she loved the atmosphere this house holds, as well as the aura it radiates outside. To walk on soak sand, hear the crashing waves near and the seagulls chirping yards away, picking on the sand as if to find something to dine on before actually flying into the waters to nab a fish.

But Faye knocks on the door with a practiced rhythm, wearing a thin sunglasses with a reflective lenses so if anyone were to look at her, they'd be deathly staring at their own reflection and not see the tiredness in her poor yet beautiful eyes. Faye loves this pair for Fabian and Gideon's sister ( molly prew— molly weasley ) gifted it for her last Christmas as she was invited to celebrate the Holidays with them for the first time. It was comfortable to wear and easy to hide in the pocket of her coat.

She couldn't do that just yet. Not with a basket of sweets on her hand and the other holding her wand, having to apparate on the countryside bearing gifts and a warm, kinder heart.

The door finally opens and she is met with Farrah Prewett, Fabian's wife and the mother of his daughter. "Morning, Farr, lovely sleep?" Faye grins slyly calm for someone who hasn't visited for the last six months.

"Oh, my gods— Faye!" Farrah yells, bursting into delight and engulfed the Slytherin girl with her arms who laughs softly, returning the embrace with one arm as the other was rather occupied at the moment. She used to tease Fabian that his wife was much interested in her than him but Fabian argues that it's because Farrah and her were best friends in Hogwarts then and they haven't seen each other in forever.

Farrah Prewett was once Farrah Blackwood, born into a strict and Pureblood household that taught her that muggles and muggle-borns were lesser than them and that they are not necessarily treated with a higher respect of courtesy. Farrah didn't understand why she needed to hate people who have magic a different way than she does. But she didn't express that to her parents, she was smart enough because she knew they would undoubtedly put pressure into her life for her to obey their commands, even their wants for them. Then she met Fabian Prewett, an absolute sweetheart and a catch, easy on the eyes yet capturing by the fucking heart, Farrah fell, but he fell even harder than her.

"That better not be for my daughter." Farrah immediately says after gesturing Faye to enter the cozy home, smelling the scent of tea and breakfast brewing in the kitchen near. Farrah, however, was pointing at the basket Faye was holding and was caught like a deer on headlights.

"Oof, unless you have another sugar deprived child, it's for my goddaughter." Faye smirks, quite proud of herself for shamelessly spoiling that little bundle of joy. "Speaking of, where is she? You're always a lovely sight, Farr, but I need mini version of you."

Aster Faye Prewett is like the sun, never failing to capture people's attention simply by her presence alone despite being only a year old and an absolute bunny. The girl captured the perfect mix of her parents, having dark red hair, light and easily unnoticed freckles under her eyes and some on her cheek that always blushes when she smiles, her father's smile and laugh yet her mother's eyes and glance. The last time Faye had seen her, she could barely walk, let alone run at full speed.

"Darling, I smell something burning— Oh, Faye?" It was obvious that Fabian just woke up, messy and tangled hair that was recently cut but not too short, enough for strands of his matching hair with his daughter to roll down his forehead. His left eye was closed, blinded by the bleeding sun due to the opened windows all throughout the room, carrying a little girl hoisted into his hip with nothing but her short legs. "Look, lovely, look who's here without so much as a notice or else I would have been there for her when she arrived." Fabian turns his daughter to look at their guest and Faye shoots him a sour look before turning to little Aster with a sincere and loving smile.
