Stu drove down the road as I looked around at the houses for any signs of distress. "Wait!" I said pointing at a house that had its front door wide open. Stu glanced over and nodded. "Write down the address." He handed me a pen and I just decided to scribble it down on my arm. Stu kept driving and made a block. He parked the car to make it look like it was one of the owners of the houses car.

We got out quietly and grabbed our gear. "You ready?" I asked toward him. He let out a small sigh. "As ready as I'll ever be." We walked back to the house cutting through backyards and staying out of sight. "One-eight-four-four...one-eight-four-five...one-eight-four-six...one-eight-four-seven...one-eight-four-eight! Here it is. This is it...I hope." I mumbled the last part and looked up at the house. The front door was wide open but I couldn't see very far inside.

Stu and I walked up to the front door and I curtsied. "After you my good sire." He smiled and bowed at me. "Thank you, madam." I shut the door after walking through it. Better say than sorry. I reached down and unsheathed my knife. I held it in an iron grip- ready to strike if I had to. We walked through the living room seeing something that I was all too familiar with- Stu also. A girl lay on the floor. She was on her stomach while her head faced off to the side where her t.v. played Halloween. Blood was pooled around the girl.

She looks young. Maybe not even 17 yet. Multiple stab wounds were laced on her back. I could tell her death was painful. Stu looked around the room incase Billy- or someone was lurking in the darkness. We continued on. "Looks like he must've really been in his feelings." I muttered with a hint of playfulness.

Stu simply grinned at me a little. He seems like he was really in the zone. We ventured into the kitchen seeing some broken glass on the floor. The back door was connected to the kitchen. The glass crunched under our feet. "Okay- who the hell has their back door in their kitchen?" I asked not expecting to receive an answer. "Apparently that chick." Stu motioned behind us. I nodded even though he was already looking ahead of us.

Suddenly, Stu held his hand out in front of me. I took a step back out of surprise. He poked his head around the corner of the door. I also leaned forward to get a good look at what he was trying to see. My eyes widened a tinge and Stu and I shared a glance. Billy was seated- well more like slouched at the bottom of the stairs crying. He had his hands covering his face. His knife lay beside him with blood on it. He wasn't even wearing his costume.

Stu had his mouth open about to speak but I put my finger up to his mouth and grinned evilly. I took in a breath and mustered up the most confident voice I could. "THIS IS THE WOODSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT, OPEN UP BEFORE WE FORCE YOU TO!" Billy's head immediately cocked up and he grabbed his knife holding it out. I grinned at him while his face morphed into shock.

I smiled at him innocently. "Now, why don't you explain to me what you're doing here?" I asked while crossing my arms. Stu was leaned against the door frame with a serious look on his face. Billy quickly wiped away the tears on his face. "What the hell are you two doing here?!" I rolled my eyes. "I could ask the same thing." Stu said quite literally taking the words right out of my mouth.

I sighed and uncrossed my arms while walking up to him. I crouched in front of him and looked him in the eyes. "I'm not mad." His eyes held a look of 'really you're not? Not even after I hurt you?'. "At least not anymore.." I mumbled glancing at the floor then back at Billy. "Billy..." I started while keeping my voice calm. "Everyone makes mistakes. Even me. Even Stu. Even you. We've all fucked up somehow, somewhere."

"It's cheesy and dumb to say but you shouldn't pester yourself about shit you've done that you can't change." He squinted his eyes. "Weren't you pissed at me earlier." I rolled my eyes. "Yes. I was very pissed. But now I'm more worried about you. Are you okay?" I placed my hand on his shoulder. He peeked over at it.

"Billy," I started sternly. "Are you okay?" I softened my tone. He nodded his head. I smiled softly. "Good. I'm glad." I sat there thinking for a moment. Then I looked back up and grinned at him. "So, besides that, me and Stu have been testing a...theory. Do you want to test it too?" I tilted my head slightly.

Billy knitted his eyebrows together for a moment before responding. "Uh..sure." I smiled. I took my hand off his shoulder and used my hands to guide them around my waist. I put one of my hands around his neck and used the other to cup his face. Billy had his head hanging down. I gently grabbed his chin and moved his head upward. Even though he was facing me his eyes still looked away from me.

"Look at me, please." At that moment Billy finally looked at me in my eyes. I leaned in closer and closer until mine and his lips finally connected. (Ngl this a little cringe💀) He leaned in further and deepened the kiss. Minutes, which were probably just seconds later, we pulled apart. I let out a breath and smiled at him.

"I love you too."
